Cosy seaside cottage

Torgorm is a traditional, stone, croft house located in the peaceful, coastal township of Lower Breakish. Built around 1905 the cottage has recently been fully renovated to provide cosy and comfortable accommodation. Located on the shore guests can enjoy walks to the nearby tidal beach or just enjoy watching the local wildlife and hope for a glimpse of an otter or sea eagle. Ideally located for visits to both the mainland and island attractions. The space Situated on a tidal inlet Torgorm has direct access to the shoreline. The outlook from the property grounds enjoys sea, island and mountain views. The house has a comfortable living room with multi fuel stove (starter pack is included), well equipped kitchen including dishwasher, fridge/freezer, oven/hob and washing machine. The shower-room has a fantastic waterfall shower plus there is an additional WC upstairs. The two bedrooms are light and airy, one with kingsize bed and the other twin singles. A welcome pack of tea, coffee, sugar, milk and other basics is provided. The property is heated by oil central heating and instant hot water provided by a combi boiler. Wifi is via fast fibre broadband. For nights in there is a smart TV, at present no terrestrial TV but you can watch iplayer, CH4 OD and the ITV hub. If you prefer music a small Bluetooth speaker is available to connect your devices to. Breakish has dark skies, thanks to the lack of streetlights, so on a clear night stargazing is a must. If you’re lucky the Aurora Borealis might even put on a show. Amazing sunsets can be seen too. There is a lawned area to the front of the property, the rest of the grounds are left wild and are an ongoing project! A boat shed by the shore is available, on request, to store your own kayaks, bikes, paddle boards etc. The perfect place to relax, unwind and soothe the soul. Please note the property is not suitable for infants age 2 and under as there is no cot or highchair due to limited storage. There are no stair gates, fire guard or electrical socket covers and the property is close to open water. Guest access Guests have access to the entire property and grounds. Private parking.
