We'd love to welcome you to our comfortable, peaceful studio in the heart of Lewes. It has its own entrance and hallway leading to a large double bedroom, its own bathroom and patio area, and views across our garden to the Downs. We are in the beautiful, historic Pells area of Lewes. We're close to Pells Pool, meadows and leafy walks on the River Ouse. It's 5 minutes' walk to town, brilliant shops, cafes, pubs, restaurants, a cinema and Lewes Castle, and 10 minutes to Lewes railway station. The space From street level, there are stone steps leading down to the lower level, and the entrance to the studio accommodation. Please note, the steps are a little steep. The accommodation consists of a light-filled double bedroom, measuring 4m x 3.35m (16ft x 11ft). It has tall French doors leading to your patio area and garden views. The room has a double bed with a medium-firm Brook & Wilde mattress, a table and chairs, wardrobe, hairdryer, tea and coffee supplies, kettle, toaster, crockery, cutlery and John Lewis microwave oven. There is an ironing board, iron, electric radiator and electric blower heater for your use too. In the hallway are under-stairs cupboards. In the middle cupboard is your mini fridge with breakfast supplies – bread, butter, jam, milk, and orange juice. A jar of granola is in the room. In the cupboard next to the bathroom is a Bosch washing machine and laundry liquid for your use. We occasionally need to access it during guest stays, though we will always check it's ok beforehand. The bathroom has a walk-in shower with Grohe fittings, and a Roper Rhodes sink. We supply fresh towels, a bath mat, and some toiletries. The patio area has a bistro table and chairs, and is a great spot for relaxing in and enjoying views across the South Downs. Guest access Guests have sole use of the studio room and bathroom, the mini fridge, and microwave and an outdoor patio sitting area. Please note: we do sometimes have to use the washing machine (but we'll let you know!) and the front room on the studio room level, that is for our sole use. Other things to note We give our guests space to enjoy their stay, and we're available when needed. We are home and available most of the time. We also have a lockbox for the key to the Airbnb studio, and we will give you specific instructions prior to your stay about gaining access to the property.
