Looking for a great place to bring the family, enjoy the beach and lake. Or maybe you're looking for an extended stay for work. Our house (4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms) is located next to the Zoo in Racine 100 yards from one of the best beaches in Wisconsin. The house is located steps from Lake Michigan in a residential area, filled with beautiful homes, many inspired by Frank Lloyd Wrights architecture. The lake is one hundred yards from the house. One house separates ours from the lakefront. This wonderful house is located in a close knit residential area. The house is perfect for small family occasions however this is not suitable for bigger events. Parties are not allowed. The house has 4 bedrooms, 3 located on the second floor, one on the ground floor. The bedrooms have box air conditioners in the summer months, radiator heat for the non-summer months. Most of the floors are hardwood. There is a bathroom on each floor. There is a desk suitable for working remotely in a quiet part of the house in the front living room. There is a large deck off the back of the house. Perfect for dinning in nice weather. This house comfortably fits 8 adults. With children you can fit 10 or 12. We do not allow groups over 12 guests to stay at the house. Please reach out before making reservations for more than 8 adults. Two beaches are within walking distance, 150 yards from the house there is the Zoo beach, a smaller quiet beach. The larger North Beach is 0.5 miles along the lake path from the house. Both typically have lifeguards from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The property has a wonderful garden split into two sections, one is an enclosed area ideal for young children that you don't want to wonder off. Along the side of the house there is an additional garden for you to enjoy. We ask our guests to be conscious that this is a residential area and limit the garden use from 8am to sunset. We are available any time for any questions that come up during your stay. The house is located behind the Racine Zoo. Sometimes you can get a glimpse of the giraffes from the garden! Downtown Racine is around 1.5 miles away, the Lake path next to the house brings you right into town. The closest grocery store is 1.5 miles away 3900 Erie St, Piggly Wiggly! While bikes are a great way to get around while visiting, a car is required to get to grocery stores etc. There is a lake front path next to the house that is excellent for running and biking. It goes all the way to the marina and into town. Included in your rental are use of all bed linens, bath towels, fully equipped kitchen. With the exception of coffee and basic condiments you'll need to bring your own food. We have young children and have items like a pack and play, high chair, children's toys and a wagon to cart them to the beach in. There is no cable television at the property. There is a Smart TV at the house that has local TV and strong internet connection so you can use your Netflix, Hulu etc accounts. Pets are not allowed on the property without prior permission in writing. We do not allow pets for stays of less than 2 weeks.
