Cosy historic cottage in lovely coastal village.

In the beautiful village of Lympstone, this unique, historic cottage has everything you need for an idyllic break. Just yards from the beautiful Exe estuary the cottage is perfect for anyone who loves life by the coast. It’s furnished to a high standard with great beds & luxury sofas so you’ll be very comfortable & our fast internet will let you stay connected. Great pubs on the doorstep, beautiful views & amazing sunsets make this the perfect place to recharge your batteries all year round. The space In the centre of the village, barely a minute’s walk from the train station, handy for the village shop & next door to the excellent Swan Inn you will find number 3 Bridge Cottages, a pretty 18th century cottage with bags of character but also with plenty of modern home comforts. Entering via the small patio at the front of the property the vivid blue stable door takes you into the well appointed kitchen which has everything you need if you want to stock up on local produce & get cooking. A doorway leads into the lounge with its solid wood floor comfy sofas & wood-burning stove (with plenty of logs on hand). Technology is covered with a smart TV with Freeview & Netflix, Bluetooth speaker & fast broadband. The dining area is at the back of the lounge with an extendable table & a shelf or two of cookbooks to give you some inspiration. Tucked away at the bottom of the stairs is a newly fitted bathroom with a shower which pairs with the bedroom on the first floor. Heading up to the bedroom you’ll find a solid oak kingsized bed with a single bed also in the room along with a built in wardrobe. This room overlooks the village centre and has two large sash windows. It also has a ceiling mounted projector if you fancy watching a movie in bed. On the second floor is a double bedroom, also with a kingsized oak bed & with an en-suite bathroom with both a shower and a bath. The bath is under the window & lets you cast an eye on the goings on in the village as you have a soak. There’s a smart TV in the bedroom with Freeview Play & Netflix all set up. There’s a hanging rail at the back of the property where you’ll find space to dry beachwear & wetsuits. The patio at the front has a table & chairs & gets the morning Sun, making it a good spot for a coffee while you plan your next adventure. Guest access Guests will have full and exclusive use of the entire house and patio. Other things to note The Swan is very close to the cottage, and does great good & the Sadlers Arms is a good 10-15 mins walk at the edge of the village. For something a little grander, there is Lympstone Manor with Michelin starred fine dining. With a well stocked village shop & High Tide Tea Rooms also close by the village is well served. The train station is very close to the cottage. Exmouth is a 4 minute journey, Topsham is 5 minutes & Exeter Central 20 minutes, making it easy to get around without the car & giving you access to endless opportunities for sightseeing, shopping, eating & drinking. The Exe Estuary cycle way passes right by the cottage & that provides over 30 miles of flat, traffic free cycling or walking with access to numerous towns & villages & wonderful views. There is cycle hire available in Exmouth.
