Welcome to the Blue Heron Hideaway! The cabin is nestled right on the shoreline of the town lake. Take refuge along with the many Blue Heron that call this lake home. Explore 500 feet of lake shore and 19 acres of forest. Full size kitchen,screened porch, amazing views of lake and countryside from this cabin. You'll be surprised at the remoteness and beauty, yet near Asheboro, Seagrove, Uwharrie National Forest, Chatham-Siler City Advanced Manufacturing Site Wolfspeed, Randolph Megasite Toyota. The space If You Should Need Additional Accommodations Or If There Is No Vacancy At Blue Heron, Ask Us About Our Neighboring Cabins; Swannie's Escape And Rustic Cabin, Both Within A Short Walk Of Blue Heron. The Three Cabins Share A Huge Outdoor Common Area/Dog Run And Waking Trails And Driveway. Guest access The entire place is yours and all the immediate land around it is there for your enjoyment. The front door is equipped with a digital lock, the host will send you the code on the day of your arrival and after the reservation has been confirmed. We ask that guest do not go into the shed that is on property (Doors will be locked). The park is just a short walk down the driveway from the house. The park is a great place to have a picnic or fish. Don’t forget to check out the waterfall! Other things to note The Town of Ramseur asks individuals to not swim or boat from the shore due to the fact that it is a drinking water reservoir. If guests would like to take a vessel out on the water, there is a boat ramp with rentals at marina (check their hours) as well as a fishing pier at the town park adjoining the property. We have a max temp of 72 on the thermostat and a minimum of 62. The yard leading down to the lake is steep and bumpy so use caution when making your way down to the waters edge. The drive way is semi-rough leading up to Blue Heron Hideaway. Kermit Pell Park is only open Wednesday-Sunday and is closed November-February.
