Escape to our cozy cottage on Loon Lake, where nature and connection come together. With three bedrooms and a spacious deck offering beautiful lake views and sunsets, it's the perfect spot for connecting with loved ones. Just minutes from the Au Sable River and 30 minutes from Lake Huron, you'll have easy access to hiking, fishing, and countless outdoor adventures. Whether you're seeking relaxation or exploration, this peaceful retreat offers the best of both in a serene, natural setting. The space The kitchen, dining and living areas are combined in an open layout with vaulted ceilings and a beautiful view of Loon Lake. The living area includes a 42" television with a Roku and Blu-ray player with a collection of movies. The kitchen includes a full size oven, microwave, standard brew coffee pot, refrigerator and all basic dishes and utensils needed for cooking. There is a gas grill located on the front porch. The two larger bedrooms include queen size beds and the third bedroom has twin bunk beds. The living room couch folds down and can sleep an additional guest. The bathroom includes a stand up shower (no bathtub). Bath towels, linens, and beach towels are included. Pack-and-play, booster seat, and high chair are also available for younger guests. There are wooden steps with a rope railing going down to the lake and boat house, where you will find another deck area, a paddle boat, two paddle boards, and various kid-friendly water toys. Bringing your own boat? No problem. Our dock is available for you to tie up your own watercraft as well. Guest access The entire main house, deck, yard, and boat house are available to you during your stay. The attic, basement, owners' boat, and any areas marked “Owners Use Only” are off limits to guests. Please be respectful of these areas. Other things to note The back deck includes an outdoor dining table for six guests, and there is a large picnic table on the side of the house. Additional chairs are provided for the fire pit. The boat house down by the lake includes a paddle boat, paddle boards, life vests, and beach chairs. Boats can be rented nearby, or you are welcome to bring your own watercraft. The boat launch is a short drive away. The cottage is five minutes from downtown Hale, where you can find gas, groceries, pizza, ice cream, and any other essentials you might need during your stay. There are many great hiking trails nearby, as well as the Au Sable and Rifle rivers. West Branch, Oscoda, East Tawas and Lake Huron are an easy 30 minute drive.
