Welcome to our spacious downtown Toronto corner unit with sunny south-east facing wall-to-wall windows, overlooking the city, and the water. This special place is only a 5-minute walk to the lake. Catching a concert or watching a sporting event? Or simply wanting to be in the centre of all the action in Toronto? This is the place to be. Kind and thoughtful travellers welcome to The Perch Toronto! We like to call it The Perch because this is precisely what we often wind up doing here. Find a good perch and just be. A perch from where you can take in the world, sip on a big cup of tea, read a book, people watch, reflect, breathe, while away the day, or simply rest after a day of exploring or travel. Enjoy the massive window seat, our favourite perch in the space, perfect for all of the above! WHO SHOULD STAY HERE? The design savvy, comfort-loving, artful, clean and minimalist, will feel right at home. We treat our walls like a gallery, bright, white and with a constant rotation of art that moves us, that we've found along the way, or that we've created ourselves. Designer touches can be found throughout, from light fixtures to seating to the very art on the walls. Textures — we love them and love to surround ourselves with them. Concrete and wood, white and vintage metal are sprinkled throughout the space. IDEAL FOR THE BUSINESS TRAVELLER: This space is business / executive ready. With a great desk as well as plenty of work spaces, incredibly fast fibre-optic internet (500Mbps up/down), and numerous outlets and extra chargers should you forget yours or like to work in multiple spaces, this is a great spot to make your base. Our central location makes it easy to commute via transit as well as to get food when you come up for air if you're working from the space! A FAVOURITE FEATURE: A real "oooohh ahhh" moment (we really still say this when we use it), is our remote-controlled projector, probably one of our favourite features. Fill up a bowl with some popcorn and relax. Best used during the night or on overcast days, but if you feel like watching in the daylight, that's ok, you might just have to pull the blackout blinds down. BATHROOMS: Clean, private, and stocked with organic shampoo, conditioner, body wash, a blow dryer as well as cleaning supplies. And lit with the kind of lighting that just makes you look good! Soak away a day of exploring in one of two tubs. Dry off with our classic, spa-inspired waffle weave lightweight cotton towels that feel soft and indulgent. WASH A LOAD: We have on site laundry if you need to do a load, as well as an iron with a steamer feature. TO NOTE IN THE KITCHEN: A fully-equipped kitchen, fresh ground coffee and tea for you to use, along with everything from a salad spinner to a blender, this kitchen is great for early morning smoothie making, warming up pizza, brewing some tea, or preparing a proper gourmet meal. TO NOTE IN THE BEDROOMS: Each bedroom is bright and dreamy, covered in white luxurious bamboo sheets, and comes with optional blackout blinds if you need your dark, or wispy translucent curtains if you prefer letting the natural light seep in. Each bedroom comes equipped with its own luggage rack and a whole lot of closet storage organization for you to unpack, spread out, and make yourself at home. We've set it up so you don't have to live out of a bag. BEDS: Underneath the softest white bamboo sheets, you'll find the most comfortable memory foam mattresses. Note beds have mattress covers and pillows have pillow protectors. THE SPACE: Our home was designed to feel like everyday is a Sunday — hygge in Toronto. Come and enjoy the perfect live / work space! #theperchtoronto Guest access FOR EVERY GUEST, SHORT STAYS OR LONG: Take advantage of the - direct access to the TTC, Union Station, Airport UP Express Train, the PATH system, and the Scotiabank Arena (formerly the Air Canada Centre) - paid underground parking *ask about this if you're interested in reserving a spot during your stay FOR LONG TERM STAYS ONLY: This building has terrific amenities for you to take advantage of if you're staying long term (28+ days) including: - a state of the art 24-hour fitness facility - an indoor pool (open 5 am to 11 pm) - an outdoor pool (open seasonally) - jacuzzi hot tub - a steam room - a lounge area - a business centre IN OUR SUITE: Show off your skills in our fully-equipped kitchen stocked with utensils ready for your inner gourmet chef. Or alternatively, simply look at it all and admire it while you eat some really good pizza straight from the box, we don't judge! The kitchen comes equipped with stainless steel appliances - fridge, microwave, dishwasher, oven, toaster, kettle both stove top and plug in, and more. Have a preference for drip coffee or French press? We have both and offer ground coffee for you to use. We also have tea along with condiments (salt, pepper, olive oil, spices, ketchup and more) for you to use. There may also be a few nibbles we've left for you! FOOD: Our central location means several well-stocked grocery stores are within walking distance. There is one in the building so you don't even have to venture outside if you don't want to. The liquor store (The LCBO) and the ATM are all also within the building so you don't have to go far. FEEL LIKE EATING OUT?: Perfect! Walk a few minutes south and you'll reach the waterfront with several amazing restaurants and bars. Walk north or really in any direction and you'll quickly discover all kinds of restaurants from high-end Italian with the most delicious handmade pasta, to creative sushi, fresh pita and falafel, schawarma, to gourmet pastries, and of course a plethora of pizza options, which is our favourite. FOOD DELIVERY: Don't feel like cooking or going out? Food delivery is simple as delivery people are very familiar with our location! HER: I'm a bit of a neat freak and I love organization. I think you'll benefit from this throughout the space! You will find a luggage rack for your suitcase, and endless storage in each closet, designed for you to unpack and feel at home. HIM: A tech lover, this space is outfitted with some of his favourite tech treats. Aside from our beloved remote-controlled projector screen with Netflix, Disney+, Live TV with hundreds of channels and more, we have a lot of smart home tech. From the Nest Thermostat for you to easily and beautifully control the room's temperature, a Nest Mini smart speaker for you to talk to, request directions from, play Spotify and cast to, Chromecast Audio for you to play music throughout the space, and mood lighting options in each bedroom and main space for you to choose what brightness suits your mood. We even have USB ports throughout the space as well as extra plugs and chargers should you need to borrow them. We have tried to consider everything! This is just a surface description of everything this place has to offer. We have left an elaborate notebook with all kinds of options for you, outlining things for you to do, food suggestions, places to wander, emergency contacts and essentials like how to get a local SIM and where to find an ATM. Other things to note In short, location location location. We have it we have it we have it. Close to grocery stores, banks, ATMS, a liquor store, the Scotiabank Arena, the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, the CN Tower, the waterfront, the Aquarium, bars, lounges, restaurants, parks, and more. If you want centrally-located, this is it. Just a great base if you're in town for a concert and sporting event at the already mentioned venues or if you're going to the Budweiser Stage, Massey Hall, Roy Thompson Hall, Harbourfront Centre, BMO Field, Centre Island, The ROM, The Toronto Music Garden and more! If you like sunrises and watching the moonlight over the lake, lake views and light-filled cozy, clean, considered, and modern spaces, this is the space for you. We have tried to think of everything from high speed internet to high quality 100% cotton cabana pool towels, to extra chargers for your devices. We do keep a thorough inventory list of everything in the space and it will be checked after each guest.
