Beautiful one bedroom, one bath cottage on a picturesque 14 acre farm just outside of downtown Leesburg. Nestled in close to local vineyards, this charming, free-standing cottage is yours and perfect for a weekend getaway or alternative to a hotel. Enjoy the fresh air, beautiful views, and peace and quiet on our little farm. Wander the property and say hello to our donkeys, mule, Long Horn cows, goats, chickens, and 3 cats (and 3 kiddos!). Just 3 miles to downtown Leesburg. The Cottage's first floor contains the kitchen and dining area, family room/sitting area as well as the full bathroom. Upstairs you will find the large bedroom with quaint window seat and plenty of space. An air bed and pack n play are both stored in the closet for our guests should they need either. The farm used to be a working horse farm, with 4 pastures and several small barns and living spaces. The main farm house, a gorgeous stone house located directly next door to the Cottage, was built in the 1790's. We love this gorgeous little farm and love to share it with our guests. Guests are welcome to their space at the cottage and all other communal areas on the property - outdoor table and chairs near the chickens, pondside with the firepit, visiting the animals, tree swings, and another other open space around the farm. We are available for help during your stay and will be accessible by text or phone call. Please realize that while we are usually quickly available, sometimes phone calls aren't answered immediately as we have day jobs, children, etc! We try our absolute best to get back to our guests ASAP! Although our farm feels secluded, we are only 3 miles (just 6 minutes!) from historic downtown Leesburg. We love our town as it is loaded with fabulous restaurants, coffee shops, retail shopping, breweries, and lots of history. We are also located in Loudoun County's wine country and are accessible to several fantastic wineries in just minutes. Stone Tower, Willowcroft, Casanel, Dry Mill, Zephania - are all located within 5 - 10 minutes of our property. We are happy to provide recommendations if needed! The best way to get to our farm is by car. But, bring your bikes! We have a great biking trail within 2 miles that are easily accessible by bike from the farm. We are an active, small farm with family and friends on the property. While you will have your own space, please expect to see our family playing and maintaining the farm, as well as others who work on the property! There are always projects to complete and things to fix, so please expect some activity during your stay as we need to keep everything running and looking beautiful! We respect quite hours in the morning and evening - so no need to worry!
