This Downtown Spot has been thoughtfully updated with all of the modern conveniences. We are across the street from the shops and restaurants and a short stroll to Robie Point for some breathtaking views and long winding trails. It is really the perfect marriage of downtown living and nature. Hillmont Hideaway property feels like you walked into summer camp with a winding path that leads to multiple cottages. This unit is a studio apartment that is a combined bedroom, living a kitchen space -- all in one! The studio also has a queen bed with a plush memory foam mattress as well as a super comfy pull out full bed couch should guests need it! Both beds are protected with water-proof mattress protectors for your peace of mind. Hillmont Hideaway guests will have their own, private, entrance accessible via smart lock technology for added security. Although the listing says that it can accommodate 4, we prefer to keep that to 2 adults and 2 children OR 3 adults maximum. Please refer to "House Rules" and "Other Details" for more information. IMPORTANT INFO — There is a small flight of stairs, about 10 steps, to get up to the unit. There is also one small step in the unit. Parking for one car off-street is available. The parking spot is up a small hill and so one must be adept at backing down an incline. Both the stairs and the parking are in the pictures for reference. Looking to book with a group? We live on-site in the home above Hillmont Hideway and are thus mostly available should any questions or issues arrive during your stay. Unless requested, we will keep our distance, but if you are looking for suggestions for fun activities to do in Auburn, please feel free to reach out! -Kelsey & Tony This central neighborhood area is nextdoor to Robie Point neighborhood, old-town and downtown. Located in downtown Auburn, CA, this studio is 3 minutes from I80 and HWY49 making access to outside areas simple. Hillmont Hideaway is walking distance from shops, restaurants, the farmers market and the fairgrounds! One can usually find street parking and there is a public lot with electric charging stations on our street. This unit does have one off-street spot that is dedicated to studio. Please note: the lot directly next door is PRIVATE and not accessible to our guests. Please note: guests should be aware that while this is a private space, it does have shared walls. This unit is located in the lower level of an old home built in 1919. We are a family of 5 with a small doggie and we live upstairs. While walls have been reinforced to minimize sound, one can expect to hear footsteps, creaks or muted conversation of a neighbor as happens in multifamily units of a home built before modern technology. We will be living normal, family life while hosting our guests. Our property also has long-term tenants in the other cottages with children who happily play outdoors, as children do, in the shared outdoor spaces. If you are looking for total silence, this probably isn’t the place for you 😉. We all LOVE where we live and are excited to host those who would like to visit and experience downtown living!
