Enjoy the beauty of each season at our historic Tiny Log Cabin, built in the 1800s and newly renovated on a beautiful farm setting. Please read all of the description below, and scroll to the bottom before booking! Note—the cabin can be warm in the summer and chilly in the winter due to the logs and chinking. There is a window unit AC and heater in the winter. Also note—the full restroom/shower is a 30 yard walk to the basement of our home. Kuerig with coffee. No refrigerator or microwave. The space *Tiny House, one room log cabin *Restroom is a 30-yard walk to the basement of our home *Cabin contains Kuerig with coffee pods *No refrigerator, we suggest you bring a cooler if you like *There is electricity in the cabin *Animals roam freely on our farm--dogs, cats *The cabin has one full sized bed and a tiny loft sitting area. It is suitable for 2 people. If you'd like to have more stay, please message us and we can try to work it out, keeping in mind that it is a Tiny Log House. {Do you have extra family members or friends who want to come with you?We allow extra guests to come with you if you book the Tiny Log Cabin; and they may put up a tent or stay in the private bedroom in our basement. Tent campers are $50.00 for two people, maximum of 4 people camping. (Three or four people camping is $60). Children tent camping must be accompanied by an adult. To stay in our private extra bedroom in the basement is $60, which sleeps 2 people with one queen bed. Please message us if you'd like to request the extra bedroom and/or tent camping.} *No pets. We love animals, but do not permit guests to bring pets to the farm, sorry! *Water faucet is outside the cabin and barns for hand washing and filling water bottles *This cabin may be warm in the summer and cool in the winter. It has an air conditioner in summer months, and one-two space heaters in the winter. Keep in mind that in may be chilly in the winter. We do not block it off in winter months as many of our outdoorsy types of guests do not mind the cold. Please dress for sleeping when the weather is cold. There is an electric blanket on the bed during winter months. Book this cabin at your own discretion knowing that it has chinking, and cold or warm air seeps in making it difficult to control the temperature. *There is NO wifi and phone service, while generally good, may be spotty. *No kitchen. *There is a charcoal grill available. Bring your own charcoal, matches, foil, etc. We do not supply paper plates or utensils. *Firewood: Gather firewood from our forest for free or purchase it from us for $5. DO NOT bring your own firewood due to problems with insect infestation. *Check out: We do not charge a cleaning fee! You can help us by keeping the cabin loft tidy, Strip sheets and leave on the floor. Tie up trash bag and leave it inside the cabin. Close the cabin door. Turn off AC, heat, lights. Check out is at 11:00 AM. *Questions? Message us!!! We want you to enjoy your stay at our farm, let us know how we can help. Guest access PLEASE let us know your arrival time, because we like to meet you for check in--it is difficult to check in yourself, especially after dark! Thanks! When you arrive please pull up to the garage, message us and we will come out to sign you in and show you where to park. You will have a short walk to the cabin. Do not leave food items on the cabin porch or unattended. We have raccoons, squirrels, the occasional bear or Labrador Retrievers that will help themselves! Please DO NOT feed our dogs, cats or horses. Feel free to walk the trails of our property. A trail map is available in the cabin. Look for the historic cemetery; make use of our prayer path for quiet reflection. Climb up to the treehouse and enjoy a snack or a glass of wine, write in your journal, or read a book! More information: *Do not enter pastures. *ELECTRIC FENCE IS ON, do not touch. *We have no wifi, and phone service other than Verizon may be spotty. *Culpeper with many eateries is 8 miles. Many wineries and breweries are nearby. Shenandoah National Park is 31 miles. Other things to note We do charge guest fees for all extra guests (more than 2) including all children, ages 0-18. We do not recommend our cabin for children under 6. Extra guest fee is $10 per person after 2 people. If you bring extra people and want to use the guest bedroom in our home basement, it is $60. Any losses or damages by children (or adults) including bedwetting, breaking or damaging cabin items, missing items, or other will be billed for.
