Description
Cedar Cottage is a recently renovated self contained cottage adjacent to our home with its own entrance and secure parking on site. It has everything you need to make your stay comfortable with high quality stylish furnishings including a king sized bed with Emma mattress. The village has 2 pubs and a village shop and is perfectly situated for easy access to Cheltenham Festivals, Upton-upon-Severn and the Cotswolds. Wonderful walks directly from the cottage. Bike storage & EV Charger available The space Open plan kitchen/dining/ sitting room. Kitchen is well equipped with induction hob, electric oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, coffee machine and ample crockery. We supply basic essentials including tea, coffee, sugar, salt and pepper, kitchen roll, washing-up liquid and dishwasher tablets. There is free Wi-Fi and a Freeview TV and plenty of plugs and USB charging points. The bedroom is light and airy and enjoys a glazed oak door with Juliet balcony. The award-winning king-size Emma bed and mattress, along with Egyptian cotton sheets and blackout lined curtains ensures a comfortable night's sleep. There is a chest of drawers and storage cupboard plus iron, ironing board and hairdryer. The en-suite shower room has a good-sized shower with hot water provided by a combi-boiler, heated towel rail and towels provided. We try to do our little bit for the planet by providing eco- friendly toiletries, loo roll, washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets. Bottles are refilled to avoid single use plastic and we are happy to refill during your stay, should you require it. Outside there is a parking space behind secure, electric gates and a small patio with dining furniture where you can enjoy a drink whilst admiring the view of Bredon Hill. An EV charger is available by request. Please note that the cottage is unsuitable for children under 12 years old. If you like to look of Cedar Cottage but it is unavailable for the dates you require, please do have a look at Bramble Cottage which is also on site. The Local Area Eckington lies at the base of Bredon Hill, part of the Cotswold Escarpment, with the River Avon meandering around the village. This offers outdoor enthusiasts plenty of idyllic walks and water sports such as paddle boarding and kayaking. Around Bredon Hill are pretty villages with pubs, coffee shops and picturesque churches. Further afield, there is Regency Cheltenham, popular for horse racing (the racecourse is a 20 minute drive away). Worcester and its majestic cathedral, cricket ground and porcelain museum is also worth a visit. Popular Cotswold destinations such as Broadway, Bouton-on-the- Water, Stow and Burford are easily accessible or for some fabulous views of Worcestershire and Herefordshire you might like to walk to the top of the Malvern Hills followed by tea and cake in one of Malvern’s tearooms. We are more than happy to suggest walking routes, places of interest and scenic drives and you are welcome to borrow maps. Guest access Independent access with key safe.
