Under the "Castor House" roof, 5 minutes from ViaRhôna

5 min from the Viarhona and within walking distance of the main shops of the 2 Seyssel (bakeries, butchers, supermarkets including an organic and bulk, restaurants...), you will be welcomed by Aurélie, Baptiste, their 2 children and Paulette their cat, in a historic house nestled in the heart of a green setting near the Volage stream. Location: 45 min south of Geneva (access by train), 45 min west of Annecy, 25 min north of Lake Bourget. The space The "Castor House" is on 2 floors. You'll be staying on the second floor. Access is via a first interior staircase shared with the owners, then a second interior staircase used only by guests. The floor where the "Campagne" and "Cabane" rooms are located consists of a central room common to the guests of the two "Campagne" and "Cabane" rooms. This space includes: a sitting area, a breakfast area (equipped with: 1 kettle, 1 coffee maker, 1 microwave, cutlery, cups...) and a toilet (shared with all guests – disinfectant wipes are available in the event that the space is shared by different guests. Rare situation). Tea, coffee, cups, a hair dryer, books, games, are at your disposal. From this landing room, you will have access, depending on the room booked: - on the right to the first bedroom "La Cabane" with a double bed. The bathroom is shared with the owners on the first floor. This bathroom is accessible: in the morning from 7:00 a.m. and in the evening of the arrival of guests until 10:00 p.m. - on the left to the second bedroom "La Campagne" which has a double bed, a sink and a bathtub that can only be used as a shower (water saving due to the geological context). Guest access Aurélie and Baptiste will welcome guests and a key will be given to them at the beginning of the stay. Possibility to park bikes in a locked shelter. - The central space shared by guests on the second floor allows guests to relax, have a coffee/tea, possibly have breakfast or warm up a dish in the microwave. This is an extra space. - The first bathroom shared with the owners is accessible in the morning from 7:00 a.m. and in the evening of the arrival of guests until 10:00 p.m. - Aurélie and Baptiste's kitchen is not accessible except in exceptional cases. - Late check-in possible, subject to owners' availability. - Unlimited access to the garden (5,000 m2), to the Volage stream with the possibility of meeting some inhabitants of the garden: salamander, European beaver, stag beetle... A deck along the river allows guests to relax. During your stay Baptiste and Aurélie will take care of your hosting. They speak French, English, German and a little Spanish. As this is a family home, Aurélie and Baptiste will be present during your stay. They will be able to answer any questions you may have. Other things to note The "Castor House" is ideally located, close to nature, close to small shops. At the foot of the ViaRhona, at the crossroads of day or half-day hiking trails: Mont des Princes, Cascade d'Eilloux, towpath along the old Rhône, Plateau du Retord with the daffodil pastures of Sur Lyand... From the "Castor House", for young and old you can go for a day of treasure hunting through the vineyards, where you will take a dip at the leisure center of Seyssel 01 and enjoy an ice cream!
