Part of our classic 1960’s mountain log cabin, this newly redecorated space offers modern amenities and the comforts of home with a queen bed, bathroom, kitchenette, WiFi, TV, private entrance, plenty of parking and easy year-round access. Ideal for a relaxing getaway, visiting family and friends, a base for hiking, biking, and skiing or as a launch pad for off-road adventures. The space This private studio occupies the northeast corner of the cabin and is completely self-contained with no shared spaces, a private entrance and parking. Our convenient location RIGHT ON THE HIGHWAY offers easy, year-round access and flat, paved parking for trucks and trailers. There is a small private patio with a sitting area in front of the studio that gets lots of sun and a meadow behind the house which has a tiny seasonal stream - great for a picnic or relaxing in the evening! The owner occupies the other side of the cabin but is not on the premises full time. There is a super comfortable queen size bed, table and chairs, bathroom with shower and a kitchenette with a fridge, sink, microwave, toaster, and French press. We have stocked the basic amenities that we hope will make your stay comfortable including dishware, basic condiments, coffee, and tea. Bathroom amenities include towels, shampoo, conditioner, and a hair dryer. There is fast Wi-Fi, and a 32" Smart TV for login to your streaming channels and mobile device charging. We also have an assortment of books to read, dice and cards to play, as well as a bin of art supplies in case you are inspired to recreate the lovely mountain scenes you have witnessed on your day’s adventures. Our fantastic location in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, located in the historic mountain town of Rollinsville, is a terrific spot from which to begin all your mountain adventures. There is amazing hiking and biking in the summer, snowshoeing and skiing in the winter, and year-round easy access to Eldora Mountain Ski Resort, Shoshoni Retreat Center, James Peak Wilderness, and more. The full-service town of Nederland is five miles away and has grocery stores, gas stations, banks, restaurants, and bars for convenient access to anything you might need during your stay. Or if you would like a great coffee to get your day started or a handcrafted beer to end it on a great note, walk down 300 yards to Melt Coffee and Howlin’ Wind Brewery in Rollinsville, where you can sample an array of small batch handcrafted beers, enjoy live music and shop goods made by local artists. Guest access You will have access to the entire studio (Unit #2), the sunny morning patio sitting area in front, a picnic area with table just to the north of the cabin, the meadow behind the cabin and the parking spots designated with signs.
