Nestled in the foothills of the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, surrounded by birdsong and spectacular views of the sea and the mountains. Explore the footpaths and trails through ancient woodland literally right on your doorstep or visit the nearby castles of Harlech and Criccieth. Golfers will delight in a day at Royal St Davids, ramblers or cyclists will never be short of scenic routes to explore, and day trips to seaside villages, teashops, giftshops and steam trains all within easy reach. The space You'll be staying on the 1st floor in a lovely spacious room with kingsize bed and ensuite bathroom. Plenty of drawers for clothes, and tea making facilities to hand. Lovely views of farmland below. The house dates back to the turn of the eighteenth century with exposed beams and thick stone walls. Built onto the rock, it appears to grow out of the hill in places. We're situated on a steep hillside, and guests will walk down through a stepped garden, or down the drive to reach the front door. Set in 1 1/2 acres of sloping gardens, guests can explore the pathways and steps through the trees, relax by the stream, or sit and watch the beautiful sunsets. In the morning, you will be served a light breakfast of cereals, toast, croissants, and jams. Breakfast time is your choice - after all, it's your holiday! Guest access Guests will access the main house entrance to reach their room and ensuite bathroom on the 1st floor. Please also use the conservatory during your stay. You are invited to explore the garden and share any gardening tips you might have! Please leave outdoor shoes and coats in the porch or conservatory. Slippers are advised due to ground floor stone floors. The kitchen is reserved for family use only. During your stay The choice is yours, we know you'll come here to get away from it all, but if you'd like to join us for a chat you'd be very welcome! Other things to note We have secure storage available for bikes, golf clubs, paddle boards etc. Wait until you see the sunsets, absolutely gorgeous. If stary skies are your thing, we have those too. Enjoy Harlech Beach - all 4 miles of it! Its just 2 miles away. Good train links along the coast to Porthmadog, Criccieth, Barmouth. Portmeirion only 7 miles away and Llechwedd slate mines just 14 miles away, but if you want a shot at the zip wire you need to plan and book in advance. You may wish to take a journey on the Blaenau Ffestiniog Railway from Porthmadog - the scenery is stunning, though we advise you to check bookings in advance of your stay due to it's popularity. Don't forget the beautiful hikes of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) are only 27 miles away to the base at Llanberis. If you wish to reach the summit by train, you must book in advance.
