Description

A spacious one bedroom property conveniently located for the Wye Valley, Forest of Dean and Offa's Dyke, offering magnificent walks, cycling, pubs and restaurants. Tintern Abbey is also a 10 mins drive from the property. Chepstow itself boasts a magnificent castle, charming pubs and riverside dining and drinking options. The property is located a 5 mins walk from the High Street and Bus Station, 10 mins walk from the train station with direct services to Cardiff, Newport, Gloucester and beyond The space This recently renovated Grade II Listed Georgian period home is an annex attached to the family home of Hardwick Hill House dating back to 1798. The property and garden are arranged over two levels with stepped access only therefore it is not listed as 'accessible'. Ground floor level contains the private entrance hallway and kitchen, with a fully equipped kitchen including a range cooker and American fridge-freezer with ice and purified water dispensers. Items provided for guests include coffee, tea, salt & pepper, oil, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, tin foil, bin bags etc. The first floor accessed by spiral staircase. Here you will find the bedroom with a king size bed, open hanging rail (hangers provided), chest of drawers, bedside tables and lamps and ample plug points. The bathroom has a walk-in power shower accessed though the bedroom. Also on the first floor is the Living Room with a smart TV and Dining area. One of the two sofas has a fold out bed ideally suited for an additional one guest. A mattress topper, pillows and blanket can be provided for use with the sofa bed. The living room also has blackout curtains and blinds. The patio is accessed via patio doors in the Living Room. Outdoor seating including table and chairs are provided. A coal barbecue and firepit are also provided for guest use. The garden adjacent to the patio is also available for guest use. Guest access Once inside the rental home, it is fully self contained. You also have your own private patio and garden area. The areas either side of the driveway (including trampoline) and beyond the guest garden (marked with a 'Private' sign) are not to be accessed or used by guests as they are part of the private family home. When walking on the driveway or using the parking area we respectfully ask for dogs to be kept on a lead. The adjoining family home has a small dog and children and there is also a main road which the un-gated driveway leads onto. Other things to note Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the rental property and smoke alarms are provided for your safety. If you do wish to smoke outside please ensure you dispose of any cigarette butts respectfully in the bins provided once they cool. Additional guest surcharge: The property can comfortably accommodate 3 guests utilising the king size bed and the sofa bed. Should an additional adult guest be requested beyond 3 persons then an additional charge would apply to cover cleaning and utility bills. To ensure comfort we do not encourage or recommend more than one adult use the sofa bed however this is at guest discretion. Pets: Dogs are very much welcome. Food and water bowls are provided for use in the kitchen area. We understand our four-legged friends are part of the family and are on holiday too. We would be grateful if you could observe the following: - The garden area, although bounded by fence, is not fully secure so please supervise your dog and ensure they don't roam into the area marked 'private.' The bottom of the driveway is not gated and leads onto a main road. - Please clear any dog waste from the garden area. - Please do not allow your dogs on the bedding as we don't wish to charge guests any additional cleaning fees to welcome dogs to the property. - We have provided sofa throws in the living area and would appreciate these being used if dogs want to join you for a cwtch on the sofa.
