The space Handcrafted Snowdonian Escape: Mountain Views, Sauna & Steakhouse Experience a unique couples-only retreat in our handcrafted Western Wagons, perfectly positioned for unparalleled views of Snowdonia’s rugged cliffs. Eco designed for minimal impact living, each insulated wagon features a raised double bed, a cozy lounge/chairs with a space heater and a private porch to stargaze the International Dark Sky Reserve or just soak in the great outdoors sipping a fresh morning coffee. Plenty of storage with underbed hangars, drawers, coat hooks, mirror and nick/nack storage too along with coffee and pull out tables. Adventure & Wellness.... The Spa: Book a private session in our onsite sauna to soothe muscles after a day on the peaks. Dining: Skip the prep! The CowShed (Y Beudy) steakhouse serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus a bar for post-hike sundowners. 24/7 Fuel: Our 24 hour vending hub in reception offers fresh milkshakes, barista coffee, and "grab-and-go" hiking snacks/porridge pots and cold drinks. Snowdon Simplified: The Sherpa bus stops right onsite, taking you directly to the Watkin, PYG, and Miners paths—no parking stress! Sustainable & Connected.... Enjoy a minimal-footprint digital detox stay with low power cozy lighting, USB charging (USB-A outlet) and thermal insulation though WiFi is available if required. Our wildlife haven features a biodiversity scrape to help with drainage and varies throughout the year with it sometimes full, boggy or dry! For EV drivers, we host x5 ultra-fast 160kW chargers (publicly accessible). On-Site Facilities & Essentials.... Our communal open-sided, undercover bar is designed to make your stay effortless. For those rainy Welsh days, we’ve included a dedicated clothesline and drying area to ensure your gear is ready for the next peak with picnic tables also for social dining in the dry! A short, scenic walk along our landscaped footpaths leads you to the shared high-quality shower and toilet facilities.There is also a convenient kitchenette with a sink and kettle for your morning brew, along with a shared hairdryer. Notes: 1) To protect our local wildlife and peaceful atmosphere, we observe a 9pm quiet time. 2) Adults only due to onsite water hazards/Max 2 per unit. 3) There are no BBQs/fires in the nature area/around the huts but welcome to BBQ up near the undercover open barn/picnic benches available. Top 5 Local Attractions: Portmeirion Village (approx. 3 miles) A whimsical, Italian-inspired coastal village featuring colourful architecture, lush sub-tropical gardens, and stunning estuary views. Black Rock Sands (Morfa Bychan) (approx. 3 miles) An expansive Blue Flag beach where you can drive directly onto the sand. It’s famous for its rock pools, sea caves, and spectacular views across Tremadog Bay. Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways (approx. 1 mile) Hop on a vintage steam train with two different routes from Porthmadog Harbour for a nostalgic journey through the heart of the national park’s most dramatic mountain scenery. Criccieth Castle (approx. 5 miles) A 13th-century native Welsh castle perched on a rocky headland. Scale the walls for panoramic views of the sea and the peaks of Snowdonia Beddgelert Village & Gelert’s Grave (approx. 5 miles) A picturesque mountain village renowned for its legendary stone monument to the faithful hound, Gelert. It’s a perfect spot for riverside walks and artisanal ice cream. Guest access Parking & Facilities Car Parking: Dedicated parking space in Glamping Car Park via wooden gate (code may be in operation). If returning after 10pm or leaving before 8am then parking available in adjacent long stay car park (to avoid disturbing other guests/noise) Pedestrian Access: Via pedestrian gate on long stay car park (code in operation). Accommodation: Your wagon is set in a private field with direct footpath access to all facilities. Other: Access to vending, high-quality showers, toilets, and a kitchenette equipped with a kettle, sink, hairdryer, and extra USB charging points. Other things to note Breakfast/Dinner: These can usually be booked at the CowShed/Y Beudy and is advisable especially at weekends - see online or pop-in in person. Easy Checkout & Breakfast: To enjoy a relaxed breakfast at the CowShed without the rush, please check out by 10am before dining. We kindly ask that you move your vehicle to the main restaurant car park so you can linger over your coffee as long as you like! Extras: Additional extras are also available for your stay including celebratory packs (prosecco/glasses/birthday card) and cutlery pack hire (plates, knife/fork/spoon, glasses). Sauna: A two person sauna is now also available on site for a small reservation fee along with a cold 'rainfall' shower and a 'drenching' bucket.
