" Captain's Quarters", at Sylvanrude, Lakebay WA

The Captains Quarters at Sylvanrude is a step into a forest of Douglas Fir, Cedar, and Hemlock. The small apartment is above a garage, and is equipped with a coved ceiling bathroom, (tall folks beware) full kitchen, cozy sleeping area with a new queen bed on antique frame, TV with DVDs only, (wifi is through MIFI, a Verizon source), a private beach fire pit with beach access, and the most amazing sunsets over Case Inlet. If you are a bird watching enthusiast, don't forget the binoculars! The space The apartment has a stove, with oven, a toaster oven, coffee maker, microwave, counter seating, extra bedding, dishes, plenty of towels, and great walking areas including the beach. Bathroom has a mini sink, toilet, and smaller shower. The apartment is coved ceiling, so tall guests might bump their heads in the tiny bathroom. Guest access Parking is about 30' from the entrance, marked by a designated sign. Guests enter through side door in garage, but the garage itself, and its contents are not available to guests. Other things to note The beach sits below a high bank trail, which can be wet in the winter months, but still not super difficult. A newly repaired rock bulkhead gives plenty of area for sitting by a beach fire (a nice fire pit), sunset watching, or general beach combing, and swimming in the summer. This is an apartment ABOVE A GARAGE, (a place where you park cars) there are 20 carpeted stairs to access the apartment. The steel garage is NOT what is being referred to. :)
