A nature lover's paradise on Bobs Lake, a tributary to the Rideau Canal system on 4.5 acres of Eastern Ontario mature hardwood forest. There is deep water off the dock for great swimming, boating and fishing. Large flat areas for kids to play. 4 bedrooms. Open concept living areas with fully equipped kitchen, cathedral ceiling in the large living room. Use of Linens and towels available for $50 . Otherwise please bring your own. The space This cottage was carefully built by my grandparents in 1985 as a retirement home. Overlooking Bobs Lake, the cottage was designed to have minimal impact on its environment and to fit into the wilderness of the woods and the lake. A place with minimal distractions; no phone, cable or satellite, this place can be a getaway to write, play music, spend time with friends and family and be outdoors. In 2018 we installed solar hot water heating, reducing energy demands from the electrical grid and increasing the overall sustainability of the home. Guest access The whole cottage is available to guests, the woods around the property and the lake. Two canoes, one pedal boat and one stand-up paddle board (SUP) is included and allows you to access the wider lake area. Other things to note Nearby grocery stores are in Verona, Sharbot Lake and Westport.
