Charming house of 180 m2 in the center of La Rochelle, dating from 1650 and totally restored in 2022, quiet with garden composed of a main building & independent studio. New for summer 2025: heated pool with shutter in a wooded garden. Located 900 meters from La Rochelle train station, and 1700m from Plage du Roux, it is an ideal base to discover La Rochelle and its surroundings. House for family use only: no groups of friends or parties! The space It is a family house occupied by a family with 4 children - on an area of 180 m2 with a veranda and outbuildings Upstairs, there are 4 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms (2 double beds, 2 single beds and two floor mattresses for extra guests) - 6 people + 2. On the ground floor, a 25 m2 studio with a double bed and an extra sofa bed, and bathroom on the ground floor with separate entrance. Or 2 people + 1. If you're a Geek like me: fiber + Sonos sound system + TV the frame, home automation ;-) You will be comfortable with 9, you can occasionally be more numerous if you wish. 🔹This accommodation is offered in a semi-professional setting. Guest access The garden is fenced, and secured by an automatic gate. There's a lockbox. If you need more than four bedrooms, i.e. six people, (or 8 with two mattresses on the floor.) you can ask to use the studio on the ground floor, which allows you to add two or three extra beds. There is a double bed, and a sofa bed. This allows 11 people to come. The studio has an independent entrance, but also has an interior door to communicate directly from the studio to the building. Check in advance that the studio is available! Other things to note The house is newly renovated - the photos are not all up to date yet. The land is L-shaped - a driveway runs along the house, and leads into the garden and pool at the back. It's a residential house where the living is good; it's not a hotel! This means that you should not expect hotel services, that there are small defects, there are no small soaps in the showers, no daily cleaning lady (she will come on Tuesday for 3 hours). In other words, if you want hotel service, you will be better off at a hotel! And above all, it's a family home: we will leave our soul, games, comics, Netflix subscriptions, Disney & other... and we count on you to pamper it like yours. Thank you!
