Expect a very clean abode, with bed sheets, pillows, blankets, and a basic provisioning of bathroom tissue. Bath towels are not provided (as we are hosting groups of up to 20). Please feel free to bring the bedding you're comfortable in. A full kitchen provides essentials for cooking and there are charcoal grills available for use. You will also receive a wheelbarrow worth of wood per day for fires. There are three fire pits outside and two fires inside (living room and kitchen). HOUSE RULES PET POLICY: One dog is now included in your stay. Additional pets are $75 per pet (maximum three pets during a stay). Please do not wash your dog in the bathtub or allow them on the furniture, including the beds. If you're bringing a dog, you must bring the dog's bedding with you. You will be responsible for cleaning up after the animal, and any extra cleaning or damages. Animals must be under control at all times. LAKE POLICY: The 2-acre, fresh water lake is an average of 15ft deep. The swimming is fabulous but please note that any water activities (swimming, diving, boating, fishing, dock activity, etc) is at your own risk. We assume no liability. There are life jackets on hand, but you are more than welcome to bring your own. Any children and non-swimmers must wear life jackets around the water. NO ATVs: We do not allow ATVs, snowmobiles, or other recreational vehicles on the property. Hemlock Hills Farm is better suited for hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, etc. NO EVENTS: Your booking covers lodging for up to 20 people. It does not cover an event such as weddings and parties. MINIMUM AGE TO BOOK: We appreciate that some groups of young adults are mature, but we do not rent to anyone under the age of 25. Parties or events not allowed. Guest access Guests will have access to the lodge and its surroundings—the 2-acre lake, three fire pits, a spectacular pine grove inclusive of a fire pit, the tennis court, a gazebo, a horse shoe pit, and nature walking/hiking on 500 acres of private property. Other things to note Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen, a large deck overlooking the pine grove and 2-acre lake, fabulous views, free Wi-Fi, lots of hiking opportunities, a tennis court, a large downstairs hall with pool table, and plenty of parking. The location is remarkable — you'll have a private country experience, but if you want to enjoy fine dining, pubs and other in-town activities, we're just 12 miles from Bedford, Pennsylvania. Things to bring: any paper or plastic products you think you'll need, bath towels, soap, shampoo and other toiletries. The beds have linens. Given the size of the lodge, we understand it's easy to forget that we are not a hotel. But please make sure you have the necessities you need. Also, please make sure you take all of your belongings with you when you leave. We are not responsible for items that have been left behind. We do maintain a house rule that the lodge be treated with respect. A considerate tidy-up after you leave is appreciated.
