Kyeburn Stop Over and Farm Stay

Centrally located and only 8km off the Central Otago Touring Route we are 20mins Naseby, 20mins Ranfurly, 1.5hours to either Oamaru or Dunedin and 2hr drive to Wanaka or Queenstown. Our cottage is the perfect destination to make the most of what the Maniototo has to offer. Walking, biking, fishing and highly recommended for Astro Photography. Enjoy a nice relaxing seat on the deck looking out to the beautiful vista and our clear dark night sky that we are lucky enough to call home. The space We are located on a working sheep and beef farm, offering a true rural experience in the heart of the Maniototo. The cottage sits approximately 8km along a gravel road — but the drive is well worth it, with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and sweeping vistas across the Maniototo Plain. Inside, the cottage is warm, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Enjoy homely furnishings, a TV with Freeview, and complimentary WiFi. The bathroom features a lovely gas hot water shower, and the bedroom offers a very comfortable queen-size bed for a restful night’s sleep. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare a nourishing meal. If you’d prefer to truly unwind, I’m also happy to offer a home-cooked meal for $25 per person — just send me a message to arrange. Guest access Guests have full private access to the cottage and surrounding outdoor areas, including the deck where you can relax and take in the views. As we are a working farm, we kindly ask that guests do not enter farm buildings or paddocks unless arranged with us. We’re always happy to point you in the right direction for safe and enjoyable places to explore. Parking is available on site, with easy access to the cottage. Other things to note Our sun-drenched cottage is perched on a gentle rise, perfectly positioned to take in the beautiful surrounding scenery. There’s plenty to see and do in this special part of the Maniototo — from walking and exploring, to cooling off with a dip in the river or even trying your luck at gold panning. If you’re simply after rest and relaxation, the cottage is the perfect place to slow down. Settle in with a good book on the deck or curl up inside — a selection of books is available if you happen to forget yours.
