Knotty Cottage SE Eugene

Enjoy this knotty pine cottage that sleeps two . Located in SE Eugene with close access to running trails, bike paths, a 10 minute bike ride to UO and 15 minutes from downtown. Only minutes away is the Ridgeline Trail offering miles of great hiking. Close to restaurants (Mazzi's, Chapala's, Laughing Planet), grocery shopping, and Cascades Raptor Center. This cottage provides the perfect respite from a day of exploring Eugene and surrounding areas. The space This charming backyard cottage offers a cozy place to relax from a day of activity. With a queen size Murphy bed and a king size bed in the sleeping loft, though technically it can sleep four, it’s really only suited for two adults as it’s quite tiny. Includes a small refrigerator, heater, composting toilet, sink, a beautiful outdoor shower (not available when temperatures are below freezing, please inquire before booking), its own private entrance all wrapped up in a tiny house. There is no kitchen or any way to prepare food so plan on sampling Eugene’s many local restaurants during your visit. Enjoy a good book with your feet up because this place has no t.v. Get away from it all! The cottage itself is situated in our backyard but off to the side so there is a bit of privacy. It is a tiny house with a cozy feel. Please note: Though the cottage is situated in our backyard, the yard itself is not for guests. We do a lot of outdoor living in our backyard. We have plans to build an outdoor seating area for guests, in the meantime we asks that guests keep to the cottage and the south gate entrance. Guest access The cottage has a .25 bathroom (read: "it's tiny"). There is a sink, with hot and cold water. The outdoor shower offers a unique showering experience. The shower has a cover, hot water and is right next to the cottage. Other things to note The Knotty Cottage is small, think tiny house. The toilet “closet” is really quite small. The toilet is composting which works differently than traditional toilets; it’s easy to use and doesn’t smell if you follow the directions. If you don't mind cozy places, then you'll love the Knotty Cottage. Though there is a refrigerator, there is no way to heat food up (there is no kitchen, think of it like a charming hotel room :o) . There is a Kuerig for coffee and tea.
