This house sits above Vly Creek, minutes away from Belleayre mountain and Spillain. The backyard overlooks the creek. Many outdoor activities nearby. Inside, find mid-century flavor, an open kitchen design, martini lounge, yoga studio and more. Individual heating in each bedroom. Circa 1870, this house has been a smithy, a schoolhouse and a depression-era multi family home. We have renewed the entire house with Conviviality in mind. Open kitchen and dining room. The porch serves as a mudroom in winter for those who ski/snowboard. Each bedroom has its own heating. In the warmer months, the yoga studio provides a space for relaxation and meditation. For readers and writers, there is a library/reading room. Cook out in the backyard, above the creek and enjoy the mountain air. Meditation garden with stone steps to the creek and village green. Guests have access to first floor living area and bathroom and to the bedrooms on the 2nd floor. The yoga studio in the atticeis available in the warmer months. The lower level is a private living space and is not available as it is in use. Very little unless required. The house is located in a small village with a long history. There is a post office, a few restaurants, a library and a small store that sells some essentials. We are close to hiking trails, ski areas, trout fishing sweet spots, hidden ponds and wild creeks. Fox, bobcats, woodchucks, chipmunks, ferrets, eagles, rabbits, hawks and hundreds of birds visit the creek regularly. Adirondack Trailways stops at the local gas station/general store. Many artists and writers live in the area and there are many musical and art festivals nearby. This area is favored by sports enthusiasts: snow boarders, skiers, hikers, cyclists.
