Description

Welcome to my country Home Share in La Pine! My home backs up to acres of Ponderosa pine forest. I call it a retreat because it is so peaceful here you can hear a pine needle drop! My guests tell me they get a comfortable night's sleep and like the convenience of a Starbucks coffee and pancake breakfast! My rate begins at $59+ for a solo traveler increasing $10 for the second guest. Ask about deep discounts for Fall /winter season stays! 20% weekly discount 44% monthly The space I rent out two guest rooms both on the main floor. The NewBeary Country guest room has a queen log bed and dresser, and bear night stand. Also available is the Crater Lake guest room featuring a queen Old Hickory furniture set, plus a twin. The guest full-bath has a vintage clawfoot tub, shower, and fan. When both rooms are rented guests share the bath. Note: the claw foot tub clearance is nearly two feet from the floor. Guest access Kitchen access is provided for cooking. Bring Your Own Food! La Pine has three grocery stores including a Grocery Outlet three miles from my home. One shelf in the fridge is reserved for each guest room. The laundry room is available to guests staying longer than one night. Ask for help getting the machines started. Work from home guests welcome! The La Pine library (three miles) has a Study room available to book for three hours at a time. It’s a soundproof room with a table, chairs, monitor, and high-speed WiFi. Free of charge! During your stay I greet my guests, show them their guest room and bath, and share the Wi-Fi password. I can help guests choose a restaurant if they prefer not to cook. I enjoy helping guests plan their itinerary as little or as much as they prefer. Starbucks Coffee or tea is provided each morning. I’ll make blueberry pancakes for breakfast! Other things to note Views of Crater Lake can be obscured by weather. Forecasts, webcams, and other information is available on the National Park Service website. The Oregon Department of Transportation has a website called TripCheck that shows current road conditions including warnings and road cams throughout the entire state. Winter Activities in Central Oregon: Snow shoe to Paulina Creek Falls and the lodge at Paulina Lake. Rent snowmobiles at 10-mile snow park. Ski, snowboard, tube, or cross-country ski at Mt Bachelor. Oregon Trail of Dreams dog sled rides at Mt Bachelor. Hike at Fort Rock National Monument. Hike, rock climb, and take pics at Smith Rock State Park. Hike and take pics at The Painted Hills National Monument. Ice skate at The Pavillion in Bend. Visit Crater Lake National Park for snow shoeing, cross-country skiing, and photography. Ranger-led snowshoe tours are offered on weekends!
