The space On arrival, guests have exclusive use of the private parking area just a few metres from the front entrance. A paved path leads to the spacious, well-lit patio that welcomes you to The Cart Barn. Step inside and you’ll find an open-plan living space with a modern country style interior. Relax on the cosy sofa and armchair beside the wood-burning stove, perfect for snug evenings in. Entertainment is at your fingertips with a large Samsung Smart TV, free Netflix, and an immersive Bose Bluetooth soundbar that doubles as a wireless speaker for your own music. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need for self-catering, including an oven, hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine, and more. On sunny days, open the glass doors to your private courtyard with outdoor dining, or head into your own rear garden for alfresco meals under the starry Devon sky. You’re also welcome to wander through our small woodland area just a few steps from the barn. For ultimate relaxation, slip into your exclusive Scandinavian wood-fired hot tub (installed in 2023). Heated to 38°C, it’s the perfect spot to soak while enjoying sweeping countryside views or a sky full of stars. The bedroom features a comfortable queen-size bed with fresh linen, storage drawers, and a second Smart TV for cosy mornings or restful evenings. The ensuite bathroom includes a large walk-in shower, sink and mirror, heated towel rail, and soft white towels. Guest access Guests will have exclusive access to the entire barn and all its amenities during their stay. This includes the private bedroom, open-plan living room, fully equipped kitchen, ensuite bathroom, and all outdoor spaces. You’ll enjoy your own front patio, rear garden, and woodland area just steps away. The Scandinavian wood-fired hot tub is also reserved solely for you, offering complete privacy while you relax and take in the countryside views. At 800 metres above sea level, our skies are wonderfully clear and free from light pollution, making it a dream spot for stargazing. In fact, professional astronomers often stay here to observe the stars. In summer, you’ll also spot one of the UK’s largest bat populations swooping overhead at dusk.
