Netflix and chill or go out for the night. Your location couldn't be better if you love the convenience of great food, eclectic shopping, and a variety of entertainment venues on your doorstep. Easy freeway access gets you to neighboring areas and attractions quickly. This roomy (approximately 1000 sq. foot) two-bedroom lower unit has everything you need for a great stay. You'll have the entire lower level of the home with two 1 bedroom units opened to each other by an access door through the kitchen areas. Home is located on a busy-ish road, so traffic noise is common during the day, but quiets at night. Parking can be entered/exited via the main road or the alley behind the home. There is ample parking along side the home in the driveway and in the backyard. Please enter from the side door facing the driveway (not the front deck-porch). There is another rental unit on the upper level which will share only the yard and parking areas with you, the lower living space is all yours. Please ask us if you have any special needs or requests, we will do our best to accommodate. This property and neighborhood is pet friendly, but yard is not enclosed, so pets will need to be supervised. In order to keep our property pet friendly, pets may not be left alone in the home unless they are crated with adequate protection of surface beneath the crate. If you plan to bring your pet, please add them as a guest when booking and a $30 pet fee will be added to your reservation . While smoking of any type is NOT ALLOWED indoors at any time for any reason, there is a cigarette receptacle outdoors that we ask you to use if smoking outside. Please extinguish cigarette before dropping into receptacle! The entire property is available for your use, except for the upper unit and locked storage areas. We work day jobs as well as host this property, so we'll be as accessible as we can be with that in mind. We do not live in the home, but are only 10 minutes away for any needs which require our assistance. We are happy to meet you upon arrival if you prefer (when we are not at work), but you will be given an access code to the door lock for easy entrance upon arrival. Royal Oak has many wonderful eateries & shops; it's impossible to narrow down a favorite. We'll leave a list of recommendations in your unit, but if you are looking for something specific/special, please ask! Alongside great food & drink options there are movie theaters, comedy, yoga, fitness, spa/salons, art galleries, parks, and a zoo all nearby! Other nearby communities with much to offer include Birmingham, Ferndale, and Detroit of course. There is a bus stop 2 blocks away. Easy and relatively inexpensive Uber & Lyft are readily available in the area. Driving during "rush-hour" (approximately 4pm-6pm) will slow you down a bit. There is a school on the block where you are staying and traffic also gets heavy during drop-off and pick-up times, but alley access to the property helps you avoid this issue! If the weather is nice, it's a very short and pleasant walk to all downtown offerings! -This is a multi-unit property; you will hear guests in the other units. -Home is near train tracks, so you will hear occasional train sounds. -For longer term stays (greater than 2 weeks), we require and will collect a cleaning fee for every 2 weeks booked. We will have your unit cleaned every two weeks to enhance your stay with fresh linens and a refreshed space. -A pack & play is available if you need one please let me know!
