Description

Looking to get away from it all? We have the perfect escape in the redwoods of Cazadero that has served as a personal retreat from city life. Off the beaten path and on Austin Creek, it is the perfect getaway. Start your morning sipping your french-pressed coffee on the expansive deck overlooking the creek, then make those tough decisions: hike the mountains, head to the beach, wade in the creek below, or just soak in your hot tub. Sorry, no animals allowed due to host health issues. The space We have spent the last 14 years enjoying our little piece of heaven and now it's time to share it! Why we love it: we adore its creekside setting but also its proximity to both river and ocean, Sonoma county's great wineries and organic farms. Simple living, perfect with its imperfections, our rustic cabin getaway features a great hot tub, outdoor shower, and fireplace to help you relax once the day's activities are over. Our charming little '50s cabin is nestled in the heart of Cazadero on Austin Creek and is a cozy blend of rustic + midcentury modern. Like many of the cabins along the creek, it was originally built as a simple summer retreat for city folk who traveled by train to spend their leisure summer days on the beaches of the Russian River. Like our predecessors, we find the location ideal as it has made it easy for us to shoot up from the East Bay for the day or to spend a week here and forget about it all! Take a walk in Armstrong Woods, rent a paddleboat or kayak at Johnson's Beach, satisfy your hunger from any of the restaurants that stretch from Guerneville to Duncans Mills, thoroughly unwind with a long soak in the hot tub, and curl up with a good book and glass of wine in front of your fireplace at day's end. At Cazadero, you can fit in as much or as little as you like during your stay. Please note: Absolutely NO ANIMALS allowed at this property. We love animals but for health reasons cannot accommodate animals. We appreciate your consideration in adhering to this policy. Guests who bring animals, or more than the number of permitted guests during any part of their stay, will be asked to leave immediately as this is a violation of our house rules and policies. No refunds given. Guest access Guests will have the entire house, its gardens, expansive deck, and hot tub with adjacent outdoor shower to themselves during their stay. Other things to note 1) Kitchen: Nothing fancy! We have a simple but fully functional kitchen: oven, refrigerator and freezer; dishwasher; electric water kettle, microwave oven; garbage disposal. For coffee aficionados we offer pour-over in addition to a regular coffee maker. Due to COVID-19 we keep minimal condiments, etc at the cabin. 2) This cabin faces the creek but the property is situated on the main road of Cazadero Highway. Although being on the main road does not bother 99% of our guests, I do want to let guests know that there are cars and an occasional truck that pass by during the day and night, creating road noise. 3) We have internet, but do not have TV or Cable TV, and phone reception is little to none. 4) Absolutely NO ANIMALS allowed at this property. We love animals but for health reasons cannot accommodate animals. We appreciate your consideration in adhering to this policy. Guests who bring animals, or more than the number of permitted guests during any part of their stay, will be asked to leave immediately as this is a violation of our house rules and policies. No refunds given. 5) 2 guests maximum are allowed at this cabin. 6) Parking for 1 car only. Please do not bring more than one car as this is per county rules. 7) Hot tub may not be at ideal temperature by 3 PM due to the amount of time housecleaners need to properly clean it. Although this is rare, if so, it is usually ready by early evening. Please shower before using the hot tub. Because we are in a severe drought we will not be able to refill the hot tub should it need to be drained. You will be notified at the time of booking if the hot tub becomes unavailable. 8) We adhere strictly to our cancellation policy, and will not issue refunds for weather or air quality. We will follow Airbnb guidelines in relation to extenuating circumstances. However, we are happy to issue a credit in the amount paid toward a future stay. 9) Things to bring: Beach Towels (if you are planning a trip to the beach) Charcoal if you intend to bbq (matches are on fireplace mantel) Flashlight(s) – for mandatory power shut-offs by the power company Slippers for wearing inside and warm clothing / boots during winter Firewood and kindling (paper/cardboard) for lighting fires in the fireplace TOT # 3433N Permit # TVR18-0190 Registration Details TOT # 3433N Permit # TVR18-0190
