Private Studio Guesthouse
Private Studio Guesthouse
Description
The space is a detached studio guesthouse on the rear end of the property. There is a garden that separates the main house from the guesthouse. The yard is fully fenced so if you are traveling with a dog you can let him/her stretch their legs. Inside is fully equipped with everything you would need for a long term stay. The kitchen has a small gas stove with oven, microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, pots and pans, coffee and tea, etc. The furnishings are contemporary and comfortable. The mattress is a queen: medium firmness and gets good reviews from those who prefer both soft and firm. The sofa is huge, longer than a twin bed, and can comfortably be slept on by a tall person. The large armoire can hold a full wardrobe and is equipped with hangers and shelves. There is a bistro table with very comfortable chairs that serves as a both an eating and workspace. The bathroom has a truly enormous shower with great water pressure from a rainfall shower head. There is a washer and dryer for your use only, as well as an iron and board, large full length mirror, towels, and additional storage if you need it. There is a Smart TV with Netflix, Hulu and several other apps (TV does not have traditional cable). Wifi is excellent (high speed cable wifi (100 mbps down, 20 mbps up). If you need something you don't see here please ask, I may have just forgotten. Guests may use the back half of the yard. Though there isn't a fence to divide the property, it's fairly intuitive once you're in the yard. I will be available to help you get checked in and settled. If you have questions during your stay or if something in the guesthouse isn't working please text me. I work full time so I may not be available to address you immediately; I will get back to you ASAP. Our home is in a very quiet residential neighborhood just a short walk to West Hollywood grocery stores, coffee shops, and more. The neighborhood is very diverse, creative, and friendly. It's an ideal place to stay and lends a true local experience. PETS: We welcome up to two well behaved dogs under 25 lbs. Sorry no cats. Please let me know in your first message if you are traveling with a dog. If you know your dog has behavioral issues (waste accidents, chewing, barking, etc.) this is not the right place for him/her. We have two Scottish terriers who will be in the yard at times, they are extremely friendly, but will be defensive if your dog isn't. You may let your dog run in the yard but only when supervised by you; obviously the dogs can pee in the yard but we would prefer you walk them for bowel movements just to insure the yard stays clean. If your dog does poop in the yard just clean it up right away. As a note: ALL of L.A. is coyote territory they usually prowl in twilight hours and do attack dogs. We've never had a run in with one, but it does happen so you should be aware. DRIVING & CAR RENTAL: More than half of our guest do not keep a rental car during their visit and instead use car services such as Lyft. If you will be doing a lot of driving it may be more economical to rent a car for your entire stay. There is also a rental agency within walking distance from the house called Sixt Rent a Car. You may want to rent a car from them day by day if you are going out to the beach, hiking, etc. PARKING: Parking is on the street, you will be given a pass. Finding a spot after 6pm can be tricky, though there is almost always a space somewhere in the neighborhood. If you are going out at night it is recommended to park your car before 6pm and then take a car service. In case of emergency, or just a quick in and out you may park behind our car in the driveway. If you must park in the driveway overnight, please pull all the way into the driveway off the sidewalk. Please also make sure to move the car to the street before 8am, there will be plenty of spaces at that hour. NOISE ETC: The neighborhood is very quiet, guests should behave as if they live there by respecting the tone. No partying or blaring of music. No cell phone usage or loud conversations in the yard. GUESTS: Visitors and additional guests are not permitted without prior consent. CHECKIN: Checkin is after 3pm. Please let me know as soon as possible when you will be arriving so I can schedule your greeting. If you are delayed please text, or message me through the Airbnb app to let me know. Please make sure you have access to a working phone, have downloaded the Airbnb app and allowed delivery of push notifications. If you are traveling from another country please investigate before your trip how you will manage cell phone communication. CHECKOUT & CLEANING: Checkout is 11am. When preparing to leave, please place towels in the laundry hamper and make sure all kitchen utensils, dishes are washed and put away. If there is an excess of garbage please toss it in the waste receptacles by the front gate. Please also remove any food from the refrigerator except the Half and Half. For guests staying longer than two weeks, housekeeping must be done once a week. This is in addition to the cleaning after your checkout.
