Generously sized private studio space + bedroom in our multi-familyl Brooklyn townhouse. Your spacious, basement level private studio occupies a full floor of the home. Complete with its own bathroom and kitchenette. Upstairs is a small bedroom, with a lofted queen bed and bathing in natural light. Just around the corner from 4 train lines! (L, M, J, Z) 20 minute ride to Manhattan. We are registered and experienced hosts of 7 years. Here when you need us, out of your way when you don't! The space This is the ideal spot for the traveling musician, artist, or adventurer. Private space with private entryway. Centrally located in Bushwick, the creative hub of working artists in NYC! Located in our large, multi-family townhouse, the studio offers you comfort as well as practical features hard to find in other NYC listings. This studio space is designed for a perfect blend of relaxation and getting creative work done. Primarily a basement space. Your hosting team consists of a professional artist and professional musician. We have years of experience in creative industries as well as hosting travelers. The space has been prepared to suit your needs whether you are in Brooklyn for work or play. We live just upstairs and are available at all times should you need anything at all. Contact us for details on using the shared spaces in the home. We are also available to help your source creative supplies or just get some recommendation's on food or nightlife. The studio is equipped with a wonderful library of books on NYC travel, art, and culture. If you had any question of what you would do in the city that never sleeps, these books will answer them! Location: The studio is located right in the center of Bushwick. (On Menahan Street & Wilson Ave) You will be a quick walk to the Myrtle/Wycoff Station for L & M Trains, Knickerbocker Station for M train, and Gates Station for J & Z Trains) G Maps will be your best friend for navigating the city by public transport. Bathroom & Kitchen: The studio has a full private bathroom with shower, and humble kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with: small fridge, microwave, large toaster over, crock pot, and electric hotplates. Its not designed for connoisseurs of the culinary arts, but you can make just about anything in it. Musicians: The space is sound insulated and suitable for band rehearsals and recording sessions between 9am-8pm. Many albums have been recorded here. The studio was extremely quiet even before we treated it with GIK 242 Acoustic Panels. No street noise or other auditory interference. The studio is equipped with a Yamaha receiver, and two massive Cerwin Vega AT-15s. These are one of the legendary Cerwin Vega speaker designs of the 1980s with the indestructible 15 inch woofer. The sound is clean, detailed, and of course, LOUD. The receiver is connected to a Sony turntable, complete with a large selection on vinyl (mostly NYC Jazz) Its a sound experience you just cant get with Spotify and a blue-tooth sound bar... Artists: The studio is equipped with an oversized work table for drafting, organizing projects, and meetings. We provide colored pencils, pens, and drawing paper. I also have an enormous selection painting & drafting supplies in my own art studio upstairs if you need to borrow something. For painting; you have is a wall mounted easel and oversized laundry sink. Bedroom: Upstairs from the studio is a small bedroom with a lofted queen bed. The room has an enormous window for tons of natural light. The space is ready to open up your creative channels. Feel free to message us if you have any questions before booking!
