Cottage in Brooksville

Our innkeeping-family has been welcoming guests to the the Blue Hill Peninsula of Maine since July 4, 1889. We are perfectly situated directly on the saltwater of the Reach and the freshwater of Walker Pond. Family vacation, honeymoon, romantic getaway, or oasis for a single traveler. It just doesn't get any better than this! The space This ocean-lovers’ cottage sits right on the Reach, providing access to the most glorious sunrises and sunsets from the living room with its wide swatch of windows, the outdoor deck or from the sandy beach below, accessed by its own staircase to the shore. Westerly is our first cottage to sell-out each season. There are a king and a twin bedroom, adjoined by bathroom, as well as a pull-out couch, to sleep six overall. Kitchen has full size fridge/freezer, stove top burners, coffee maker, toaster, and microwave. Guest access The Oakland House has two beaches that overlook the Eggemoggin Reach. In the distance, you can see the Pumpkin Island Lighthouse and Camden Hills from 60 miles away! Our guests also have access to the Blue Dot and Yellow Dot trails that lead up to a phenomenal view of the waterfront from Lookout Rock. Other things to note Kayak and paddle board rentals are available from the main inn. Ask reception upon checking in. No pets, non-smoking. Thank you.
