Fully furnished house on the banks of the New River. House is located within easy driving distance to WinterPlace Ski Resort,The Greenbrier, Lewisburg and within New River Gorge National Park! Trout stream within walking distance and 90,000 acres of public land all around for exploring. Guided fishing trips available on site. Public boat access is beside the house so bring your own boat or kayaks. Kayak rentals available nearby. Large back deck overlooks the river with grill and firepit. The space The house is cozy and clean and has recently been updated with new flooring and new bathroom. The beds are extremely comfortable, and sheets and linens replaced after every guest. Large back deck overlooking New River with Fire Pit. Three bedrooms; with one room with a queen, one room with two full size, and one room with two full size and single bed. The house comes with all linens and towels. This is not a honeymoon suite type of place but more of a functional house for those wanting a vacation in the New River Gorge. There is only 1 bathroom in the house. There is WIFI and internet and most phones get 4G with phone booster installed in house. The house is on well water that is safe to drink but does have a slight iron smell and taste. Some guests prefer bottled water for coffee or drinking taste. There are train tracks out front and trains do run frequently through the Gorge. Most folks enjoy the trains, but they are loud as they blow horn at the crossing. You can fish right out the back door and there is a trout stream nearby as well. Smallmouth bass, catfish, walleye, and carp can be caught behind the house. There is a public boat ramp beside the house that may have folks coming and going with rafts and kayaks. Guest access The house is directly in New River Gorge National Park and 30 minutes from Lewisburg or Beckley. The house will be unlocked before you arrive so just go on in. There is no check-in or checkout procedure. There will be keys hanging on wall if you need to lock up while you're out but not necessary here. There is a public River access beside house so folks may be coming and going from time to time Other things to note The house is directly on the banks of the New River and near the public boater access. The house is private from other houses but there is the occasional boater coming and going. There are railroad tracks nearby and trains do occasionally run on these tracks.
