Over the river and through the woods! The Italian Bar cabin over-looks the Stanislaus river canyon. The only cabin rental in Twain Harte with river access, sitting on almost 7 acres! This space is great for families looking to get away from it all. The main level features a great room with exposed beams, and a deck with majestic views, perfect for hosting your family get-together. The space Enter the custom front door to a cozy Den that offers a full size sofa bed for two. As you pass the main floor bedroom with a queen bed, you'll see a beautifully updated bathroom that features a shower with real river rock and custom cabinetry by local craftsmen. The main floor opens up to a great room with amazing exposed log beams that were harvested from the local forest. A full size kitchen with island offers ample room for cooking and socializing with family and friends. Watch all your favorite sports or movies on the 72" big screen with Direct TV. Walk out one of the two sliding doors onto a large deck with majestic views of the Stanislaus River Canyon. The river can be heard year round as well as an abundance of wildlife. Deer, turkey, fox, and even bears are often seen right off the deck. While we do offer Starlink Wifi, we also have great cell coverage which allows you to stay connected with your phone. ATT, Verizon, and T-mobile all work great at the cabin. Head upstairs to our large primary bedroom with en-suite. This room offers a king bed, three twins and a pack n play with your own private balcony. In this room there is also an exercise bike along with weights. The lower level of this cabin features our multipurpose room and studio apartment. The multipurpose room includes a ping pong table, arcade games, foosball , and two sets of bunk beds (sleeps 4). The studio apartment has a kitchenette (small fridge, microwave, toaster oven, hot plate and eating utensils). The studio can sleep up to 4 with a queen bed and full size futon. It also has its own full bathroom and washer/dryer. River Access: We are fortunate to be able to offer river access on our property via a hiking trail that is not for the faint of heart. The trail includes slopes and switch backs. Since the trail is on private property and this section of the river is remote, you can expect to be the only people on the river in this area with the rare occasion of seeing a neighbor. On the river, you will be able to enjoy a few areas with dipping pools and gorgeous scenery. The trail is not suitable for guests with limited mobility. The trail is around 1/2 mile long. If hiking is not your thing, there is public river access about 1/2 mile down the road that has an easy walk from where you park to get to the water. Guest access With this booking you'll have access to the entire cabin (except the cleaning closet and wood stove) and the hiking trail to the river. Other things to note We highly recommend our guests purchase insurance when booking, we do not offer refunds due to road closures, smoke, weather events, the absence of snow or warm weather. While we do a thorough cleaning before each guest and we also have monthly pest control, the cabin is in the forest and there may be dust, dirt, leaves, animals, even bugs. That means we cannot guarantee a dirt/dust/pest free space. The cabin is on well water. The well has a high iron content which can cause the toilets to look stained or the water to look cloudy. We provide a limited amount of Alhambra drinking water, but guests should bring their own water if well water is not suitable for you. This listing allows pets. This means we cannot guarantee the cabin will be free of pet hair or dander. If you have pet allergies, this listing might not be suitable for you. Due to the unpredictable California fire season, we do not offer refunds due to smoke in the area. The cabin has a whole house backup generator that is automatic when if the power should drop. We include up to 6 hours of generator use per booking free of charge. Should the power be out for more than 6 hours during your stay, you can opt to continue the generator use for $20 per hour. The property is surrounded by the national forest, we cannot guarantee forest work wont be occurring during your stay and we will not offer refunds due to this. While the cabin does get snow occasionally, the elevation is only 3800 feet. This means the snow isn't around all winter and dependent on the weather before and during your stay. The driveway will be plowed prior to the guests arrival when there is 4 or more inches of snow on the ground. If more plowing is needed during your stay, guests can opt to pay the neighbor to come plow for them. The road to the cabin includes 3 miles of unpaved road. It can be bumpy and dusty in the summer and In the winter, it can be required to have a four wheel drive vehicle with snow tires and chains. The road to the cabin is a county road. During heavy snowfall, the county will plow the road but it is not guaranteed to be done right away. The driveway to the cabin will be plowed prior to your arrival when there is snow greater than 4 inches on the ground. Should guests need additional plowing during their stay, guests can opt to pay the neighbor to plow the driveway. The owner will only have the driveway plowed prior to the guests arrival. The driveway and walkways can and will be slippery, guests should wear appropriate footwear and take caution in these conditions There are exterior cameras at the cabin. They record audio and video of all activity outside the cabin.
