No 3. Charming cottage + garden in village square
Description
Roslyn at 3 The Village is a 2 bedroomed self-contained end of terraced cottage with a garden. The Square which has one of the oldest churches in Scotland, was built in the 1700s by Sir Archibald Grant and his descendants are there to this day. The location has a great deal to offer including walks on the Monymusk Estate past the castle and beside the River Don. There are plenty of opportunities for sightseeing, cycling, and fishing with permits available from Fishpal. The space No 3 has been completely renovated to a high standard. The sitting room, dining room, kitchen and shower room are downstairs, and two bedrooms upstairs. The kitchen is well equipped with a fridge, electric cooker, washing machine and microwave. All the necessary cooking and dining utensils are there for the use of our guests. There is a cosy sitting room where you can relax and enjoy your surroundings looking out onto the village square, and there is a TV and Wifi available. Upstairs on your left is a comfortable double bedroom and on your right a twin bedroom, both with built in wardrobes. All the beds have electric blankets. Both bedroom windows look onto the Village Square and have traditional shutters. The shower room, which is downstairs, has a shower cubicle, toilet, wash hand basin and heated towel rail. There is a private garden and seating area accessed from the kitchen, and a children's playpark next to the village hall just off the Square. Other things to note There is a separate lockable shed very near the property, which you can make use of if you want to store items such as bicycles. Light lunches, coffee and cakes are available at the Grant Arms Café in the Square Wednesday to Saturday. The Restaurant currently serves Sunday lunch and evening meals on Fridays and Saturdays. It is advisable to book ahead for Sunday lunches and evening meals. There is a Thrift Shop which is open Monday to Friday 9am to 12.30. The thrift shop serves tea, coffee and cakes on Monday and Tuesday mornings. There is also an Artist's Studio open to visitors on Saturdays.
