Nestled between Joshua Tree and 29 Palms is this dreamy 1955 original brick cabin on 5 acres in Desert Heights with views to Indian Cove. The space Welcome to the Cove View cabin in Desert Heights! A magical space to escape, unwind and relax on 5 serene acres with newly installed privacy fencing surrounding the house. Our unique SFR cabin has that off-grid vibe but it’s not! Fully connected to municipal water and power, it has all the modern amenities like Wi-Fi, big screen TV with Roku + sound bar and a washer and dryer. The perfect place to work from home while enjoying the peace and tranquility of the desert. Once inside, you’ll find a bright, open and inviting space. The decor is a mix of vintage and boho with an industrial modern flair. While it’s only a studio, there’s separate areas for lounging, cooking and eating. The kitchenette area has an island (for extra counter space) with 2 stools and is fully stocked with a mini frige + freezer, microwave, toaster oven, 2 burner electric hot plate, pots and pans, coffee maker and grinder, blender, electric water pot, Brita, crockpot, rice cooker + steamer and all the necessities for cooking as well as coffee, teas, sugar and spices…everything needed to get you started. If you prefer cooking by gas, there’s one on the BBQ :) The living area is equipped with a queen size bed that doubles as a couch/day bed. There’s also a chair and ottoman for seating so you can fit a group of 4-6 people for small gatherings. The dining area has a vintage glass tabletop with 2 bamboo chairs but can easily accommodate 4 with the 2 additional stools from the kitchen island. The decorative tree branch has mood string lighting attached that can easily be unplugged. The full bathroom has a galvanize shower/tub combo and an extra large wardrobe that has 2 closets for hanging short and long articles of clothing as well as a large shelf and 2 smaller shelves. There’s also a small chest next to it with 4 drawers. And next to that is the laundry area with a storage shelf full of cleaning supplies, first aid kit and a fire extinguisher. Outside there’s a huge covered porch, perfect for morning yoga or coffee and tea. There’s also a rustic “Pioneertown-esk” metal dining set to enjoy daytime or evening meals. The BBQ area is within the galvanize side fenced patio that also has an additional dining set (if you like dining Al fresco) and 2 lounge chairs to stargaze from. The fire pit is in the fully fenced backyard. Lastly, catch the magical sunsets with views to Indian Cove at the “Cove View Cabana”. You can sit and enjoy a glass of wine or lounge in the hammock! Other things to note -We do not accept pets of any kind, sorry! -Smoking is only allowed outside; No smoking inside -No parties or events allowed! For longer term bookings, we will require a copy of your drivers license or government issued ID and a signed rental agreement letter.
