Shangri la is just minutes east off I-5 in beautiful Rose Valley. Relaxing is easy here, even if you don't know how. Horse/RV friendly w/drive thru parking area. Jacuzzi tub in the upper bath. Columbia River, shops, golf, fishing, restaurants, hospital, all minutes away. Hosts live on the property. Hosts (Butch & Sheila) are friendly and love the warm, restful atmosphere they've created here and reside in their separate living quarters on the premises. Cats are on premises, but occasionally visit the shared common areas. Since we value our guest's comfort, if you're allergic to cats, please look to another location for your stay. Chickens (protected by our rooster) provide fresh eggs and if you desire can be arranged for from hosts. Coffee maker is available for grind enthusiasts. Fresh, great tasting well water. Ceiling fans are in every room. Host have a private onsite Cigar lounge and there may be some minor residual cigar scents detectable. If you're offended by these types of aromas, you should consider staying at another location. Cell coverage for some carriers may not be accessible. We have Verizon and our coverage is good. The house is a split level floor plan and does have several short rise stairs that could be challenging for elderly or special needs individuals. Please let us know if you have any concerns about accessing the many available spaces, before booking your reservation. Smoking is allowed outside the house. The home is a Split-Level home with stairs leading into the house main living area, up to the guest bedrooms and down to the rear deck area. The majority of the house is available to you. This listing has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths (1 w/shower, 1 w/Jacuzzi tub & shower), Living Room w/fireplace, Dining Room, Kitchen. Outside you'll find a covered porch area, large open deck with plenty of seating and plenty of parking (especially if you have a large vehicle to park). We have 2 acres to enjoy, with chickens. Great territorial views from deck and on clear nights the stars are fabulous! Hi-Speed wireless internet, great for streaming! No Laundry facilities available. We have a local cleaner we recommend. We want you to enjoy your stay and will do our utmost to be available to you for questions and assistance to what's in our area. When we're not working our regular projects, we occasionally like to have a hosted gathering to meet with our guests and share stories. Of course, if you prefer your privacy we're happy to just be around if you need anything. Located in beautiful Rose Valley, enjoy fabulous territorial views, star filled skies, the quiet of being in the country, but close enough to enjoy several quality boutique brew houses, Columbia River fishing, Golf, restaurants, movie theaters, concert halls, Mcmenamins Kalama Lodge, much more! Some of our favorite stops are; 3 Rivers Golf Course, Hop & Grape, Corner Cafe, Columbia Theater, Lake Sacajawea Park, Regal Cinemas, Summer concerts in the park, Mcmanimens and Three Brothers Vineyards. No public transportation is available. But, Golfing, kayaking, fishing, Wine tasting, streams, 3 rivers, lakes, parks all within minutes drive. Since we're on the main road in and out of Rose Valley, there is occasional road noise. Lumber trucks travel this road from the forested area beyond our property and at times, could be heard inside the house. We're located across the street from the Rose Valley Elementary school, so there is a SLOW zone as they pass our place during school hours. Cell phone coverage may be restricted/limited. We use Verizon w/out problems.
