The Garret on the Green is located in the heart of Clinton in an historic church built in 1821. Close to the shops on Park Row and steps away from the village green, it's an ideal location for a remote-work retreat, an upstate minibreak, or a visit to Hamilton College or Colgate. In the upstairs unit of a 2-unit house with a private entrance and keypad entry, enjoy a freshly renovated kitchen, living room, bedroom, and master bath complete with a soaking tub for unwinding at the end of your day! The space This is a newly renovated upstairs apartment in a 200-year-old former church. The Garret on the Green features a peaceful and quiet bedroom, a large private living room with beautiful hardwood floors, a dining area, a sleeping nook with a desk, retractable Murphy bed, and cozy window seat, and a kitchenette complete with stove, oven, sink, microwave, and cooking staples. (Fun fact: the first ordained woman in the country, Rev. Lydia Ann Jenkins, served as Universalist minister in this building in the 1860s!) Oneida County Registration Number: STR-00098 Guest access Guests have the entire second floor apartment to themselves, including a kitchenette and master bathroom. We provide a unique keyless entry code for easy check in. Other things to note Television: Our TV setup is a ROKU smart TV, and does not include a cable package. Guests can easily log into their streaming accounts directly from the ROKU, or beam to the smart TV from their personal laptop. Sleeping arrangements: the second sleeping area at The Garret is a dormer nook with privacy curtains that can be set up either as an office space for remote workers or as a sleeping area with a comfortable Murphy bed. If you would like the Murphy bed set up for your stay, just let us know before you arrive!
