Welcome to my cozy mid-century retreat in the heart of historic Westport! I fell in love with this 1900 Victorian home for its character and charm, and I've filled this 2-bedroom apartment with vintage finds and modern comforts. Walk to restaurants, bars, shops, and the FREE KC Streetcar, or relax with fiber internet, a fully equipped kitchen, and everything you need to feel at home. The space One of my favorite things about Kansas City is its beautiful historic architecture, which is exactly why I fell in love with this 1900 Victorian home. Over the past 100+ years, it's been thoughtfully converted into four unique apartments while keeping all the character that makes it so special. I've designed this third-floor apartment as a cozy mid-century retreat where you can settle in, relax, and feel right at home. I spent countless hours hunting through antique stores across Missouri to create an authentic space that's peaceful, comfortable, and full of personality. During your stay, you'll enjoy: • A fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook • Complimentary coffee, sugar, and creamer • Premium bedding and plush towels • Cable TV with hundreds of channels (just leave cash if you download a movie to rent) • DVDs and board games under the tv for your entertainment • WIFI If you're here for work — there’s a desk in the second bedroom, set right under a skylight so you can brainstorm with the clouds and enjoy beautiful natural light during the day. The skylight in this bedroom does not have a cover, so the room will be bright in the mornings — great for early risers :) You're also in an amazing location. Westport's restaurants, coffee shops, bars, boutiques, and vintage stores are all within walking distance, and the FREE KC Streetcar is just a short stroll away. From there, you can easily explore the Plaza, Downtown, UMKC, and the River Market. Feel free to message me through the app. I also live in the building so am often available if needed. Guest access Guests will receive a unique smart lock code before arrival for easy self check-in. To access the unit: • Follow the sidewalk around the left side of the home. • Enter through the red side door on the north side of the building. • You'll share the stairwell with one other apartment. • My apartment is on the third floor, so you'll need to climb three flights of stairs. Once you're inside, the entire apartment is yours to enjoy. Other things to note ACCESS: This is a 3rd floor apartment, accessed through the narrow butlers stairwell. PARKING Free off-street parking is available in the side lot and can accommodate a moving van and more than one car if you have it. PETS • Well-behaved dogs and cats are welcome with prior approval. • Please add your pet to your reservation before booking. • A one-time pet fee applies. • Because this is a multi-unit building, pets that bark excessively are not permitted. • Camp Bow-wow is a few blocks away if you have a dog that barks a lot. BUILDING INFORMATION This historic home was built in 1900 and later converted into four apartments. As with many historic buildings, the original floors have some unevenness and natural character. Sound may travel between apartments, so you may occasionally hear neighboring guests. HOUSE RULES • No parties or events. • All visitors must be approved by the host and should depart by 10:00 PM. FIRST TIME GUESTS/LOCALS: We love new guests & want to ensure the best experience! Guests without any reviews will be asked a few questions as well as asked for ID Verification through our system. Local guests without great reviews are not allowed. This space is specifically for visitors to Kansas City. LEFT ITEMS Items left behind can be shipped for a $25 handling fee plus shipping costs.
