Farm employees and stock movements: You will see our farm staff in and around the area, they will be highly visible often on their quad bikes, our farm staff always wear high visibility vests or jackets. Wandering livestock - Aotea and Morrison Roads This is a rural farming area and although fencing is secure, livestock are often natures best escape artists. Please be vigilant and watch for any wandering livestock on these roads, often horses. Please use extreme caution and drive to the conditions within the speed limits. Always drive with your headlights even during daylight hours to be more visible. Logging operations: The Aotea Forestry harvest operations (in the local area) are due to commence this logging operation within the next few months, that means, there will be an increase in heavy logging trucks around the local area, which you may notice on your drive to the area. You will notice high visibilty cones as you approach the Kawhia Rd & Aotea Rd intersection (which you will turn right into Aotea Rd and head up the hill and continue for another 4kms), please use extreme caution at this major intersection, always drive with your headlights on to be more visible even during daylight hours, as this will help the loggings truck see you more from a distance (and also allow our heavy farm tractors to see you) Slippery when Wet: During wet weather please be careful on the decking, as this can be wet and slippery. Rubbish: Please leave all rubbish in the back rubbish bag provided, tie off and leave on top of the green recycling bins at the front of the decking steps, or if the bins are empty, please place the rubbish bags into an empty recycle bin, this helps stop the feral cats from ripping into the rubbish bags. Food Scrapes: A bucket is provided for food waste only this is on the outside deck, At the end of your stay, please leave this bucket with the lid firmly secured, near the green recycling bins at the front of the decking. Guns: UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES ARE FIREARMS TO BE BOUGHT TO THE QUARTERS OR STATION. Should you wish to discuss your plans in regards to this area please contact us FIRST.
