Come stay at our NorthernShire Retreat surrounded by the beauty of Mount Mansfield. The airbnb is a private space next to a community and an educational center, on 80 acres, located on the slopes of Mt Mansfield. Our community is made up of 14 friendly people living together and working on the land. We're happy to say hello, but will also give you privacy in your own space, which is separate and private from the rest of the community spaces. We only book one group at a time in the space. The space Please note the following 2025 dates during which an event will be held during the day (not during our listed quiet hours) which might include loud music in the space directly below the living quarters: February 15, 16, 22.26, March 16. We welcome you to enjoy the beauty of our mountain view here at the center and enjoy the many surrounding outdoor opportunities within walking distance. Just 1.1 miles from the Long Trail at Butler Lodge and a few miles from Underhill State Park with access to the Sunset Ridge trail to the Chin. You can enjoy hiking, biking, fishing, swimming, ice skating, sledding, and cross-country and backcountry skiing. We are just 13 miles from Smugglers Notch Ski resort with downhill skiing, 21 miles to Burlington downtown center, 13 miles to Richmond, 5 miles to Jericho Market for groceries, and 19 miles to the Burlington International Airport. While we share Mount Mansfield, we are 37 miles to Stowe. We want to make sure you feel safe and comfortable while visiting. We only allow a single booking for the full retreat space, so there is only one group of people staying here at any given time, and there is a day for the space to be sanitized before next guests arrive. You will have the space to yourself for the duration of your stay. The space is located in the same building as our year-round residents, but is separate and private. We observe nighttime quiet hours, and the space might not be totally quiet before that time. You will have a kitchenette, a shower, 2 bathrooms and the bedrooms you need. We provide wifi and the ability to receive parcels for you if needed. Feel free to contact us if you have questions, concerns or would like to arrange for a different duration of stay - we are flexible and welcoming! Guest access Guests have private access to the whole space, including the kitchenette. Out of respect for privacy of people living here outside of the private rental space and for The Land, we ask you to explore nature only close to the buildings - and head out to official trails and parks for more serious hiking. We are in the process of regenerating and preserving the natural habitat on our Land. Other things to note We are a fragrance free, smoke free and alcohol free facility. That means we ask you to refrain from wearing fragrances in cosmetics, and using fabric softener. PLEASE ONLY SLEEP ON BEDS THAT ARE MADE with sheets on them AND SLEEP between THE SHEETS Feel free to ship packages to our address as well - we can hold them for you.
