Home in Petaluma

We invite you to come and try one of our quiet, comfortable, antique filled rooms. We think you will enjoy it as much as we do. We are centrally located between Bodega Bay, the town of Sonoma, the Russian River, West Marin (Pt Reyes)and even Napa. Downtown Petaluma is a 13 minute walk(a little more coming back) from our yard. We recommend you do as little or as much as you like during your stay. Welcome!! The space Located in beautiful Sonoma county in northern California. Petaluma is 30 minutes to the Pacific, 45 minutes north of San Francisco and a short drive to wine country. We are a 15 minute walk to downtown shops, great antique stores, restaurants and theater. This is a great getaway for your Northern California escape. The house is large and gives a lot of privacy in the upstairs where you have a double size bed and a separate bathroom. Our neighborhood is great for walks with charming architecture to take in and a park just around the block. There is much to do locally like walking by the Petaluma River and marshes at Shollenberger Park, great coffee shops, Petaluma Outlets plus many other activities close by and we'll be happy to make recommendations. Our rooms are compliant with Petaluma's Transient Occupancy Tax (10%) Regulations under License #(request this number by email if needed). We have to request this fee through Airbnb after booking because Airbnb does not have an agreement with Petaluma to collect the fee up front. Guest access We are 30 minutes from the coast. 30 minutes from Sonoma. 40 minutes from Napa. 45 minutes from San Francisco. 40 minutes from Healdsburg wineries. We are a quaint and energized town! Lagunitas brewery is here. Korbel champagne is 30 minutes away at the Russian river. The food can be amazing and the breweries are doubling by the month. We are part of a new wine appellation called the Petaluma Gap, now certified as such, by California Vintners. During your stay We interact with guests on arrival when possible and at coffee in the morning. All attempts are made to not interrupt your time and privacy. Other things to note We have 2 off street parking spaces, which the City of Petaluma,prefers guests use, as opposed to our streets. Uber, regular taxis and lyft are readily available. New to the north bay is the Smart train. It runs from the Sonoma County Airport south to Larkspur. It stops in all towns along the way and connects with the Larkspur ferry. Currently, the Smart train is free for Seniors (for 2024). Also, we have two bathrooms. Bathrooms are never shared.
