You can watch the day unfold, the tides come and go, the colors change & the birds feed. At night you will be amazed by the starlight. A 1km stroll brings you to a Beach Cafe, marine reserve & the Cable Bay walkway. Its a 20 minutes drive to the restaurants of Nelson city or a little further to the wineries of Nelson & Marlborough or the Able Tasman National Park. The space Starlight can sleep a maximum of 8 people. Occupancy greater than 6 is strictly by arrangement for example - guests may have visitors or family overnight for an extra night or two (extra charges apply). The fourth bedroom is a mezzanine room overlooking the lounge. At high water you can swim at the bottom of the garden and at low tide you can collect cockles or pipi’s on the Estuary. In the evening you can sauté your catch on the BBQ and wash them down with a local Sauvignon. In dry times guests may be asked to conserve water or guest requests to increase the number of occupants may be declined when water stocks are critical. Parking on site is limited to two vehicles. Please discuss your parking needs. There is are two sit on kayaks available for guest use. If you are an experienced kayaker Chis may be willing to let you use one on his paddling perfection boats on the Estuary.
