Beautiful cabin on the edge of Kings Forest
Description
The Hide is one of Suffolk's hidden gems. A clean, beautiful and relaxing space. We've created an open-plan cabin which is located on the edge of King's Forest with direct access to an abundance of nature, walks, cycle tracks and beautiful views. Relax and unwind on the raised deck of an evening as the sun sets over the forest in front of you, watching deer emerge from the forest and owls flying overhead. We are able to provide celebration packages upon request. The space The Hide offers an open-plan living & dining area, king-sized double bed with pocket-sprung & memory foam mattress, double (loaf) sofa bed in the main living area, suited to two adults and two children. A fully equipped kitchenette with oven, 2 induction hobs, refrigerator with icebox along with a toaster and kettle. The shower room has a toilet, basin and heated towel rail. We also provide all bed linens and towels for your stay. Please note that our duvets and some of our pillows are feather down. Please do advise upon booking whether you require linen for the spare bed as a booking for 2 people will be considered a couple unless advised otherwise. Our accomodation is suitable for a family of 4. please note that we do not accept groups of adults unless previously agreed. Wifi is provided, however please note that due to our rural location, we rely solely on a 4G router so at times download speeds may be slower depending on usage. A small TV (streaming services only) and digital radio is also provided. Outside you will find a spacious raised veranda with table & chairs and to the front, with views over the forest, a gravel area with BBQ. Guest access Private parking is provided for guests. Other things to note We are located 6 miles from the historic market town of Bury St Edmunds, where you will find lots of independent shops, cafes & award-winning restaurants. Here you will also find a Tesco, Waitrose, Sainsbury, Asda & Aldi (and the best Bakery in Suffolk - Woosters!) Bury St Edmunds is also home to The Abbey Gardens which is a must-see during the Summer months. You will find three excellent gastro-pubs within 4 miles of our location, too. A walk through the forest from the cabin will take you directly to West Stow Anglo Saxon village, a historic archeological site and open-air museum - which also has a great kids playground and cafe. We are also perfectly located close to the A11 should you want to explore further afield, with historic Cambridge being 45 minutes & Norwich 50 minutes away by car. Our nearest Train station is located in Bury St Edmunds, with regular routes to and from London & Cambridge. A taxi from Bury St Edmunds to The Hide will take approximately 10 minutes. We are situated on a working farm, however The Hide is located along a private track and is secluded, with minimal disturbance.
