We Love our Home! We Love our City! And you will too! Just 1 mile Easy Walk to Old Town... Discover Handley Library, Bright Box Music Venue, 5 Breweries, Amazing Thai, Japanese, Italian, Jamaican or Pub Food... We Live on a Quiet Street where we Know our Neighbors... Our Backyard Garden is your View... Your room has its own A/C unit (in summer). We Love to sit on the Porch or Deck where we enjoy Morning Coffee...Or an Afternoon Beverage! Staying with us is like staying with old friends! The space We have a guest room for 1 person or a couple. Very comfy bed! YAY- Memory Foam! Ceiling fan and Window A/C unit for those hot nights... electric blanket for the cold ones! Shared bathroom right across the hall plus half bath downstairs! We also have a finished attic we call "the butterfly room"" which has floor space and single Nectar mattress bed. Add $15/night if you need the 2nd room. But to do so you need to check that "3 people " are in your party and that's when the additional charge kicks in. Thanks! Guest access When you stay with us you are sharing our home. We treat you like friends or family we haven't met yet. We'll offer you a "welcome plate" of appetizers/snacks and a drink and only hope we are around to sit and chat. We are people-people and are interested in learning a little about you... Most of our guests get a "town tour" and many come along to some activity we have planned. During your stay We are "people people" and really enjoy spending a little time with our Air BnB guests... Schedules can be hectic but sitting down together for a shared meal is really nice. Or you might want to join us for Film Club 3.0 screening at the Alamo Drafthouse Movies... Or come to a local event...live music, comedy, dining, lecture... Other things to note Vaccinated guests only. We care about our health and the well being of friends and family. If you’re not vaxed and boosted please look for another host. A recent review mentioned our home has “thin walls” which I think refers to temperature rather than sound. Yes, it’s an old house that was built in a time where insulation was not used in the outer walls. We do not hear our guests through the walls and that has never been an issue. We will always respond to a request to turn up the heat or provide additional blankets.
