Description

The Genoa is a triangular sail positioned between the most forward mast and the bow end of a boat. Similar to the Jib, it is distinguished by its larger size and extends towards the stern, contributing to the control of the bow and the ability to sail close-hauled, although with less efficiency than the Jib. The bowsprit, also triangular, is hoisted between the most forward mast and the end of the bow, essential for maintaining control of the bow and improving the ability to sail upwind. Unlike Genoa, it does not overlap. The triangular mainsail is positioned aft of the mast and its base is stretched by the boom. Used to sail upwind in combination with the Jib or the Genoa, in downwind conditions it is preferable to lower the Jib or the Genoa to use the Mainsail with larger sails such as the Spinnaker. The Spinnaker, or Spi, is a colorful, isosceles triangular sail with a large belly in the center, built with lightweight material. It is hoisted when the gait is load-bearing, that is, when the wind hits sideways or aft. The staysail is a small sail, positioned between the jib and the mainsail, ideal for long voyages. Increases the safety and comfort of the boat in strong wind conditions. The rarely used Tormentina is a sturdy storm sail, capable of withstanding winds in excess of 40 knots. Small in size and often brightly colored to facilitate localization in case of rescue, it is hoisted in place of the jib to reduce the sail area and position itself as far aft as possible. The space The rooms of the property offer a variety of unique spaces and features. The Randa Room is the most spacious with an area of 18.50 square meters, followed by the Trinchetta Room with 18.30 square meters, both very bright and airy. The Spinnaker Room, with 17.50 square meters, and the Genoa Room, with 17.90 square meters, also offer excellent brightness, with Genoa boasting a lovely glimpse of the sea of Giglio Porto. The 16.50 sqm Fiocco Room is described as bright and charming, while the 15.30 sqm Tormentina Room stands out for its freshness and location partially below street level, giving it a unique character. All the rooms, with the exception of the Tormentina, are far from the entrance, ensuring a particularly quiet and peaceful environment. Other things to note The Genoa, Fiocco and Randa rooms are located near the access door to the BB. The door opens automatically with an electronic key, generating a buzz for 5 seconds that cannot be silenced. This sound signal may cause a small noisy disturbance when other guests enter the property.
