Relax in this updated cozy cabin with a quirky, colorful, boho vibe. Feed the deer with grain provided by the hosts and watch from the decks as they come in to feed. We keep our bird feeders full all year too. Enjoy fishing the lake directly behind our cabin where we practice catch and release. We also offer our row boat for you! You can also swim or fish at the Holiday Haven swimming lake. We are located in a small cabin community and you can see a few other cabins nearby. The space You’ll stay cool with central air conditioning or keep warm with the whole house furnace. The upper level living space is an open great room with a full kitchen including a dishwasher. From the windows you see the woods around you while relaxing or while cooking in the new kitchen. From the spiral staircase or the outdoor staircase you can go down to the lower level. The upper level has the living room, kitchen, main bedroom with Queen bed and the new full bathroom with bathtub/shower. A patio door from living space leads to a quiet deck that overlooks the property and pond. The main door takes you out to the upper deck, a picnic table and the fire pit area and steps to the lower deck and hot tub. The lower level has a family room space with a futon and another bedroom with a full size bed. This lower space has two sets of sliding glass doors that lead out to a deck that overlooks the hillside and accesses the hot tub. We have great high speed internet and smart TV’s. You can stream your favorite accounts like Netflix, Prime, Hulu or watch Samsung Tv Plus. We also have lots of games, DVD’s and old school VHS tapes available. We provide an outdoor griddle and a grill and both are already hooked up to our house propane. We also have a Happy Cooker charcoal grill but you would need to bring your own charcoal. Guest access Plenty of parking in front of the cabin in our driveway. Other things to note Our cabin is located on a hilltop in the woods. Our road has been in great shape but it is somewhat steep. During icy conditions it could be difficult to drive but guests can always park at bottom of our hill if needed. Our roads do not usually get snow plowed nor do they get salted very often. You will need 4-wheel drive to access the cabin during times of snow. You may need to park your vehicle and walk up our hill. As you drive through the hills you will lose your cell phone signal about 2 miles away from the cabin. It is best to take a snapshot of your GPS instructions and your electronic access code. We are a true cabin. We have well water, as most cabins in the hills have. However, we did just install a whole house filtration system but our water can still sometimes have a sulphur smell. Some guests prefer to bring their own bottled water. Peanut allergies: We provide peanuts and other nuts to be fed to squirrels and birds. They are in a jar inside cabin but they are also possibly scattered on property and on the deck outside. We also provide snacks for guests that may or may not contain peanuts. Note: In the event of a severe storm or downed internet line that creates an outage please note this is beyond our control. We do not have a land line. Should you need cell phone signal during an event you may drive or walk to the nearby Holiday Haven swimming lake and find a cell tower signal. We do not offer refunds for an internet outage. We do have a whole house automatic stand-by generator to keep you comfortable during an electrical outage.
