The Blue Room at Dowling House offers affordability and comfort for those travelling together. It features one double bed, ample closet space, and a mirror. Guests will have a private bedroom and share bathroom, kitchen, living, and dining spaces with other guests. Easy access to Prince Edward County, Napanee, Belleville, and Kingston. Only five minutes to Highway 401. The space Built in the 1830s as a stagecoach stop, Dowling House has been renovated to restore and highlight the original timber frame and pumpkin board flooring. In addition to your private bedroom, you will share access with other guests to a full bathroom with clawfoot tub on the upper floor and another full bath on the ground floor. The ground floor also features a kitchen with basic cooking utensils as well as coffee, tea, and an assortment of options for breakfast. Enjoy your morning on a chair at the breakfast bar in front of a large window overlooking the old Kingston to York Road. The adjacent dining room with three tables for social distancing is large enough to seat all of our guests comfortably and safely. The expansive living room offers cable television, a couch, cozy recliners, and a fireplace. Guest access In addition to a private bedroom, guests share access to two full bathrooms, a kitchen, dining room, and living room. Long walks are encouraged among gardens and trees on the one-and-a-half acre property. Feel welcome to inquire about suggestions for walks, runs, bicycle routes, swimming and boating opportunities nearby. During your stay Robert and his partner Gui live across the street and are usually available on short notice. They also use an office and studio space attached to the House and may be seen working in the garden, but guest privacy will be respected.
