Around the Bend Bungalow

Craving a getaway with family or friends for wine tasting, great food and gift shopping? Want to enjoy their company, but unwind in your own space? Around the Bend Bungalow and Airstream Alfresco are located approx 12 minutes from Main St. with its abundant eateries and unique shops or 10 minutes from breathtaking views on Enchanted Rock. End your evening in a rocking chair admiring the endless stars. Longhorns wander our pastures and you share the location with an abundance of wildlife! The space Your bungalow is an open concept home with a private patio, fire pit area w seating, outdoor grill and dog run for off leash potty time. Inside, the beautiful Great Room features a king bed at one end and the living area at the other end is arranged in front of a floor to ceiling stone fireplace. A combination TV/DVD player awaits to entertain you. Direct TV gives 100s of channels to enjoy and a collection of DVDs offers varied entertainment. WiFi is available, but is sometimes spotty! The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking utensils and dinnerware, stove, microwave, refrigerator and small appliances. (Coffee pods, water, a variety of snacks and basic condiments provided for your use if needed). A PICKLE BALL / tennis , basketball court is just a few yards from the guesthouse and is yours to use during your stay. The roomy bathroom has a two-sink vanity, a separate toilet closet, and a large walk-in shower! And there even is a converted walk-in closet containing a twin size bed and ceiling fan for use for an extra guest fee .. not for use if there are only 2 guests, if you need the extra space, please select 3 guests and pay the fee. Pack a picnic basket (there's one in the kitchen for guests to use!) and take a hike out to the gazebo, located overlooking a beautiful vista, perfect for a happy hour, sunset viewing celebration. Our pet fee is only $50 per pet ( sorry, no puppies allowed) and we suggest bringing bottled water so as not to upset their system with well water. I’m sure they are perfect in your home while you are away, but this is a new place for them and we prefer they are crated while you are away from the Bungalow. We love our dogs and know that you do too, but all dogs must be HOUSEBROKEN. There will be a $250 fine for any indoor leg lifting or damage to bedding from nesting or marking. Guest access Remember you are in the Hill Country, please keep an eye out for snakes, scorpions and other poisonous insects. Your bungalow is located inside fences and cattle guards for your safety from the livestock. Should you choose to walk outside of cattle guards, please be aware of the dangers of longhorns. There is a gazebo with rocking chairs on an overlook that is perfect for celebrating amazing vistas and sunsets. Other things to note Pickleball/Tennis/Basketball court adjacent to bungalow. Tour to view/feed longhorns with host can be arranged. Please notify hosts if professional pictures will be arranged on property.
