Brandywine Valley Cottage Near Media and West Chester, PA

Good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids age 10 and up), and furry friends (dogs). We are in the Brandywine Valley, 30 minutes southwest of Philadelphia, 30 minutes north of Wilmington, 1 hr. from Amish country. Media, Pa. is 5 miles east and West Chester, Pa. is about 8 miles west. Near Longwood Gardens, Winterthur Country Estate, Nemours and Hagley, all homes of the DuPonts and The Brandywine River Museum. Also near Barnes Foundation & Franklin Institute, fabulous restaurants and shopping nearby. 1 hr to Amish Country. Our most private accommodation is located in the woods overlooking the meadow. You will have total privacy but it is close enough to the main house at Hamanassett Bed and Breakfast if you need us. This dog and child-friendly cottage rental is perfect for family vacations in Eastern Pennsylvania. It has two bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths, a living room, a large kitchen, and a dining room. There is a small fenced-in yard, so your four-legged friend can romp without a leash. The cottage sits at the end of the horse meadow, so you can enjoy sitting on your private front porch while watching the horses. We can make arrangements for late check ins. The space You'll find a comfortable living room with flat screen TV with expanded cable, large fully equipped kitchen with full size appliances including a washer/dryer, a dining room that seats 6, a king bedroom with 1/2 bath downstairs and a queen room and full hall bathroom on the second floor. All linens are supplied. Bookings do not include breakfast or housekeeping. The cottage is on a 7 acre Brandywine Valley estate so you are assured of a quiet and peaceful stay and we are always nearby in case of emergency or to answer questions. Included in the rate is free parking, WIFI and expanded cable TV but no telephone. We also offer free electric vehicle charging station for guests. We do offer reduced rates for stays of a week or more. Keep in mind that in Pennsylvania, any booking 30 days or longer is considered a rental so there is no tax which saves you 9%. Self catered guests do not have access to the main house. You will be sent a map of the grounds before your arrival so you can go straight to the cottage when you arrive.
