Cozy Vermont Chalet
Description
Relax and visit with family and friends in our cozy, peaceful home. Enjoy many outdoor activities. Hike the Windmill Hill or Long Trails. Swim in, kayak, canoe or tube down the West River. Stroll, run or bike Grassy Brook, Ellen Ware, or River Roads. Bird watch on Putney Mountain. Enjoy winter and other seasonal sports at Stratton, Mt Snow, Grafton Trails and Outdoor Center, as well as other nearby favorites. End your day around the fire pit telling stories and making s’mores! The space This cute cabin is a pleasant surprise upon walking in. The wood floors and trim, along with various wood ceilings and furnishings create a lodge style feel and coziness. While there isn’t a wood stove, the heater in the main space warms the upstairs and your choice of electric or renai heater warms the master suite. There is a decent selection of games for fun game nights. There are designated shelves in the kitchen and refrigerator for guest supplies. Make yourself at home and relax! Guest access You’ll have full private access to the entire cabin (1 master bedroom suite with full bath downstairs, 2 bedrooms upstairs, kitchen, living room, full bathroom downstairs, laundry room, and yard). The shed in the yard is host storage. You are welcome to use the fire pit in the yard and the small portable propane Weber grill stored in the shed - (available in late spring, summer and early fall months). Other things to note If you notice the water pressure getting low, it’s likely that the water filter needs to be changed. It’s based on level of water use, so there is not a straight forward way to know when it needs to be changed. Message me right away. In winter and cooler months, if the inside air feels dry, the water reservoir in the bottom of the renai heater in the living room may need to be replenished. It is checked and refilled during cleanings, but if you stay more than two or three days, it may have dried up. There is a gallon jug under the kitchen sink to use to fill it. Just open the bottom flip section of the heater and there is a place to pour the water that channels into the reservoir. Pour slowly :). You might want to place a towel under it while you pour.
