A beautiful, unique double-decker bus conversion (school bus with Volkswagen on top) that comes right out of a bohemian dream! Nestled in the Appalachian foothills in rural northern Alabama. Plus a bonus tiny house, with twin bunk bed, bathroom and kitchenette! The space Enjoy your own private converted school bus suite. Sleep in a super-comfy King size bed with plenty of natural light in the day and beautiful lights for evening, scale the ladder to a lofted reading nook, snuggle up on the pull-out couch or pull up a chair to a simple vintage table. Heat and A/C available, multiple outlets to charge phones or computers. You also have private access to the tiny house, through the red door just steps away. Inside is your full bathroom as well as a small kitchen with stove, fridge, microwave, coffeemaker and also bunk beds. You have private access to the covered picnic pavilion during your stay as well! Enjoy the porch swing or a nap in the hammock and an evening around the camp fire. Due to Covid-19 we are ensuring this is a completely private, socially distanced space to keep you safe and healthy during your stay. Usually you would also have access to our large barn with kitchen, living area and additional bathroom and shower but that is currently closed to guests. Hopefully soon this can be opened again but for now you get to enjoy this private little get away! In the meantime, the neighboring tiny house (pictured in the listing) will be all yours, with a bathroom, shower, and tiny kitchen inside. There is a bonus bunk bed in the tiny house for you to have access to as well. There are several outdoor activities in the area and delicious restaurants in nearby Gadsden that are open for take out, from Thai, to Italian, to an Irish pub as well as Back Forty, our own local brewery. And there is a great little bakery called Cothran’s Bakery with delicious doughnuts. Just so you know, cell signal can be spotty here at the land. T-mobile has the best signal. There is a hammock and a fire pit perfect for an evening of stories and star gazing. Unfortunately Because of Covid-19 the rest of the property is not open to guests at this time. There may be other guests in spaces around you and we ask that everyone please respect social distancing boundaries and stay within your unit’s designated spaces. This is very unusual for us and we are so grateful for your cooperation to help keep everyone safe. We look forward to when we can open it back up! Feel free to message us with any questions. Other things to note Nomad's Land is a Christ-centered community and retreat. We happily host travelers and wanderers seasonally, in the fall and spring and on a quieter and simpler capacity in the summer. We especially focus our lives on Rainbow Gatherings and the traveling counter-culture. You might see tattoos and dreadlocks when visiting our place. We also have a community garden, chicken coop, a couple dogs and cats and families with kids, so shared space needs to remain family friendly, with respect to others space and personal property.
